Aftermarket Rearsets

I know that this has probably been discussed before but.......I wanna get either the esds or ho-heys for my f4i. Seems to me like you would still break pegs with the ho-heys. Im just afraid that I might bend or break something(frame etc) with the esds(solid mounted peg). Anyone have any experience with either of these? Anyone out there that has owned both?

Re: Aftermarket Rearsets

i love both of em but if i were you ..id go after ho hey for more comfortable and will never break bracket at all.

i used to have esd it looks ****** pimp and love it but peg is short so i put bmx peg for more comfortable position.

so go get ho heys.

Re: Aftermarket Rearsets

So what you are saying is that the esd's break the bracket instead of folding the peg?

Re: Aftermarket Rearsets

ESD's are shorty rearsets and there is no way in hell your breaking anything with them. If you run the HH and use your stock peg you should cut them down a little so the cage hits before they do.

Re: Aftermarket Rearsets

+1 Ho Hey

Got two sets of them....one on each F4i ...they are pimp as hell. Give em a little mothers alum. polish....and their straight bling bling! lol I like foldable pegs....Got both solid and foldable in various applications and I just think having foldable pegs and crash cages with some sort of shock/crash absorbing tech into the design is better. I think haveing foldable pegs on things like subcages and foot pegs would save alot of money in replacement parts....I dont know though.....maybe it gets too a point where too much pegs and stuff stickin out could be counter productive but that would have to be determined by a professional rider...lol not me! Someone who has stunted both solid and foldable, and can see the differences in the the way the bike crashes and parts that break......But ho Hey is pimp sh-t fo sho! And his customer service is outstanding!

Re: Aftermarket Rearsets

From what I've read.....noone has broken an ESD rearset(w/ solid peg) since their release over a year ago.....noone. W/ an SI cage, they will never touch the ground unless you wreck on a curb or something. The only issue I've had w/ them is how damn short the pegs are. They tend to dig into the center of your arch because they don't span the distance across your foot. I solved this problem by wearing my Thor 50/50 riding boots which have a plastic shank in the sole....makes everything feel normal. ESD's are bulletproof.....02 cents.

The ESD peg will NEVER touch the ground unless you wreck on an irregular surface such as a curb. With the ESD's........frame problems from rearsets are a thing of the past. You'll love 'em, you just might need a riding shoe w/ a plastic shank in the sole....lol..
