homie wrecked need help

my boy just got hit by a car.
some guy was driving his girlfriends car and pulled out without looking both ways.
the cop said he was at 0% fault......
he's not 100% but he's ok....
but the gooch is that he doesnt have insurance.
could this mess up any form of settlement?
how much should he be lookin for as payment...its a mint 05 600rr
popo did not cite him for the lack of insurance.

What does he do from here?

Re: homie wrecked need help

he still gets an insurance claim (he's gonna have a helluva time fighting for it tho.... he better get a lawyer) and at the end of it all he's prolly still gonna have a clean titled wrecked bike

its not paid off and he has no ins.?? how the hell does that work...
if it is infact totaled the ins. company might take it and give him what its worth and total it... if that happens buy it back and make it a stunt bike...

or part it out...

yeah leander is north austin basicly

Re: homie wrecked need help

he bought the bike from team scream and they have their own financing..not completely sure i bought my bike outright...
there's no way its not totaled, the forks are completely bent in to the front of the frame...fairing stay is cracked and the headlight assembly is broke to ****.....speedo is was 10 feet from the bike after it all.

so have you ever had to deal with the insurance company with any claims...

my hometown is copperas cove....like 30 minute ride on 183 north from leander

Re: homie wrecked need help

EVERY insurance agent can backdate a policy to begin at the start of the month. If the accident just happened within the past 8 days he can call up ANY insurance AGENT(NOT COMPANY) and have them start a policy that is backdated to the start date of that month.

Re: homie wrecked need help

if he's not at fault the other ins. company will be payin for it....

all him having ins. will do is make him not have to get a lawyer, they will handle it..

Re: homie wrecked need help

sounds familiar. I got rear ended by a drunk driver. No insurance, expired registration. I got the po report called his insurance, they sent sum one to look at the bikeand then i got a check for 2600. Keep in mind bikes get totaled very easy because they value the parts at dealer cost. so for instance i had a crack in my side fairing and they gave me 600 for it...this was on a 02 gsxr.
