Just got my 2006 gsxr 750 on the road over the weekend. Everytime i decelerate in gear i get a shake when the bike goes under 2700 rpm. Doesnt madder on speed just under 2700 rpms. I noticed it in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear The chain is adjust the bike has 3000 on it and just had an oil change. Is there any adjustments i need to make? Thanks CR

 

Like headshake? like the bars want to go into a tank slapper?

 

Not really almost as if there is slack between the motor and the rear wheel. and it also feels like there a a slight delay between the motor revving and the rear wheel reacting. When i bought the bike the chain was a little loose so i thought that was the problem but even after adjusting the chain it didnt make a difference.

 

did you buy it new??? or used?

 

So when you gas it it takes a sec for the rear to respond? hmmm

 

bought the bike used with 3000 miles. It went down lightly on one side just a small blemiss on the plastics so it was not that hard. the rear tire shows signs that the previous own did a lot of burn outs. Not a full second delay but it seems a little hard like if you were to pull something with a rope and pulled hard and get a little slack in the rope. Hard to really explain. the bike is fully stock except for the yosh slip on exhaust so far.

 

Is this your first sport bike??


Bikes have a little slack in them from the factory, between the cush drive and chain, there is always a little give

 

does the bike just not run under 2500 rpm?

 

it my third bike, but second sport bike, my other bike was a 96 Kaw. been riding for a little over a year.

 

if ur downshifting in high revs it might be your slipper clutch doing its job.

 

The bike def runs under 2500 rpm. i have 3 07's both 600 and 750 ....and one stunted out.. i have no problems like what your describing...somethings def wrong with yours

 

ok my friends going to take it for a ride to see if he feels the same thing. I guess off to the shop if he agrees with the feeling.
