i dont think their self adjusting, if their like a kawi (which they should be, kawi is manufactured by suzuki) there is caps with spacers on top of the valves...

look on ebay, i found a haynes cd for my bike for $12 shipped...

it has all kinds of advice on there to, even how to fight a traffic ticket and how to ride a wheelie

Re: 07 zx6r motor noise

i read on kawiforums for 03-04 636's that if they make valve noise to put them in 6th gear and roll them backwards like 20 feet with the motor off and in 6th gear.....i've had good luck with this....don't even ask me how this works, i just chalk it up to voodoo **** and proceed back to banging it off the rev limiter on a minute by minute basis.

Awesome, I wanna start rolling out stops. I'm getting them higher now with a different technique and starting to roll them a little farther.

valves <---I said valves to stay on topic.

Re: 07 zx6r motor noise

I never had any problems with 05 06, ill just hold it on the limiter for a minute or two and see if that fixes it

Re: 07 zx6r motor noise

i got both of my zx6r's from the dealer 07/08 models... they both had a weird noise after about 500 miles... the dealer agreed and did a valve job...and he said the valve guides... were wrong on both bikes... they fixed it...and i started running synthetic oil also... and it never really came back... sounds normal...when i start up the bike and its cold i hear a little tap but after like 1 minute is is gone... so the valve guides might be a recall sooner or later or maybe it was just mine... but i doubt both of them had the same problem...i lean toward kawi defect...cause they seemed to know the answer to the problem without trouble shooting... send kane a pm... i am sure he knows this bike better then his girlfriend,
