03 R6 Stuntmodifications
Re: 03 R6 Stuntmodifications
Proper machine set up is extremely important. Here are some of the options you have...
* A good soft compound front tire
* A good chain and sprockets, possibly larger than stock
* An easy pull clutch lever
* Good set of stock rear brake pads
* High quality, high temperature brake fluid
* Crash Cage
* 12 bar
* Increase rebound on forks (turn hex on top of forks clockwise - make sure both sides are even)
* Set dampening on front forks and rear shock to 90% hard (all the way and then back off a little - there are two adjustments - one on top and one at the bottom of each shock)
* Idle adjuster
* Shorter or shortened exhaust for bikes without undertail exhaust
* Bypass the tip-over sensor
* Do the PAIR mod
* Oli pickup mod if available
* Overfill your oil some...usually to the top of the site glass
* Replace coolant wih Liquid Performance or Engine Ice
* Wire cooling fan to turn on with ignition or to a switch
* Hand brake system
* Gas tank foam
* Aftermarket upper stay
* Aftermarket clip ons, turn out clip ons, flip clip ons, or add dirtbike bars
* Billet rearsets are much stronger and less likely to break
* Steel Braided front brake lines
* Steering Stabilizer
* Dented Gas Tank with some sort of traction
* Replace fork springs with stiffer spring rate and/or heavier weight fork fluid and/or revalve forks
* Add a subcage/subframe reinforcement
* Add pegs to front and rear axles
* Adjustable levers
* Bypass kill switch or rotate it forward so you don't hit it by accident

PAIR mod is the only thing I donīt know what is?
and the idle adjuster can be bought at a yamaha dealer?
the Bike Iīm interested in have Ohlins springs in the forks, ohlins steering damper and a ohlins rear shock, so I donīt have to worry about that
Re: 03 R6 Stuntmodifications

I copied the above set up suggestions from and there is more info with pics about the pair mod at How2Stunt.com (along with some good stunt advice)
Re: 03 R6 Stuntmodifications
Very cool...the PAIR Mod (or sometimes referred to as the Clean Air Mod) is bypassing the breather hose than runs from the engine to the air box and then from the air box to the exhaust. If you do this mod, you run a breather hose from the engine directly to the exhaust.
