Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

Hey I have this bike and I'm basically a squid......is this something I should look into the *SUBS* or should I just keep snapping the passenger pegs to save my subframe ? I see there is a solid or folded but I would do the folded.........but is this somewhat a must have?

I like the design but I have to agree with OMR's with the tire clearance though......

Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

For many years now racing905 products were built by friends and family members, etc that did not necessarily know how to fab/weld well. Aaron, the owner is currently and has been for the last 5 months or so building all the cages himself. He is very skilled and has made it a point to correct the problems of the past and make sure that only higher quality products are going out.

There is a new line of cage designs coming this summer.

Aaron wanted me to post this thread to get input to make the product better and has made the proper adjustments for future subcages (no gap in the middle)

The slider in the picture was just laying around and is not what will be offered with the sub. it will come with knurled pegs and/or a folding stock peg attachment.

If your snapping pegs (better you than me), then you need to do something. I have 2 gixxers and can feel them flex when I do standups. I pray that they never snap. I wont put one on my 1000 but have been tossing around an omr, powers, or s.i. for my 6. The only problem is I get powers at cost.

Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

Yo Nate, I think it's a good idea that Aaron is making the cage, I think that he should make it the best he can and sell it, especially to his local homies. Let us beat them up for a month or so and then we can tell him what good and what bad about them.

"A lil home grown R & D!, for free of course, lol!" :YEAH

Tell him don't forget about the ZX's especially the ZX-10.

Any how I will see you this weekend at XDL, I'll probably ride up with Chris and King or just take the bike. Let me know if you'll need another announcer...

As far as the snapping peg post goes, well;

TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD A PEG SNAP ON THEM IN A WHEELIE! FIX YOUR ISSUE IMMEDIATELY OR YOU MAY NOT HAVE KNEES TO BEND FOR THOSE WHEELIES ANYMORE. EVEN WORSE, A PEG SNAPS, YOU FALL TO THE LEFT AND THEN THE BIKE COMES CRASHING TO THE LEFT AS WELL, NOT FUN.

OCT 31, 2006 @ 11:51 PM, THAT HAPPENED TO ME ON MY ZX.

Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

I saw the new 905 sub cage at XDL this weekend. It looks good and Aaron has some good ideas that will be showing up real soon!

And the had the stunt stay on Nate's new ZX-6, it looks good and strong.

Hell Nate's new bright yellow zx is also tight too, you'll have got to see it, good job Nate.

Nate, I dropped the gsxr at 905 yesterday only twice not bad for a virgin stunta . The main reason why I dropped it was b/c the 12 bar is really at 1:30ish!

However, that damn mxd cage went in to the oil pan and busted, I think i'm going to change it to a 905 cage today b/c mxd's website doesn't work and I am not feeling their style.

And the subframe started splitting so I will also be getting the 905 subcage as well.

Ready to give me some lessons? :YEAH

Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

Here are some pics of my 06 636 subcage. Aaron finished it at midnight the night before XDL, so the pegs were not ready yet. There will be both knurled solid pegs and adjustable angle folding peg options. The subframe support straps are also an option and pretty much a necessity for this model bike.

Even thou I hate 905 products with a passion, I have to admit its good to see them finally stepping up the quality and craftsmanship. Its about ****** time!

In my case its just "too little too late", I mean its great for anyone that hasnt already got **** from them....but what about me and my friends that payed good money and got complete crap!

Im talkin about cages folding like paper after 1 crash, and fairings stays that had pieces fall off while just riding down the road. Even thou thier new **** looks pretty good I cant get over the fact I got burned with shitty parts and then they never returned my Emails after that...
