08 R6 stunted?

I know they just came out and Im not talking about the (s) model.. has anyone ridden one or even know someone that rides one that has "attempted" to stunt it...
I've heard some ish about the new YCC-i and how it makes great low end power as well smooths out the throttle but thats Yamaha saying that not a real rider etc..

anyways just looking to get info on the newer bikes.. thanks

firstly thanks for the reply...

im sorry to tell you but it is the (s) model that bill "D" rides and his bike is a 05 if im not mistaken with newer body work molded onto it...

im looking for guys that either know about the 08 or know someone that stunts it...ill say that loosely because im sure it will be a Power wheelie kat....

Re: 08 R6 stunted?

"s" model is the standard model that has been sold since 2003, since the yzf600r is no longer offered. the model slightly changed in 2005, with inverted forks, some intake, and exhaust changes, and floating calipers with a radial brake. when the new V model r6 came out... (2006-07) they downgraded the bike back to the 2003-2004 model, standard forks, piston master cylinder etc.

the R6 v model, was the savage of the bunch... track spec'd, and uncomfortable for the streets. stiff as hell, power above 6.5k, and all the looks, and technology. the "s" model was the comfortable, daily rider, and useable power from the 5sl tech that is good for the streets.

with all the complaints about how the power surges on, and how un-useable the new R6 was... (the bike was an enthusiast bike, not made for the bike night technician, it was made for the hardcore riding fan, and avid track day attendant.) the 2008 model was revamped, totally... due to the smog specs supposedly comming into play, yamaha decide to make the new model 1 year early. with added technology such as the ycc-i, in combination to the ycc-t, and a new bore and stroke, and other engine changes they got some more downlow out of it. they now call it the R6"X" model, aka "track screamer" because of the fact that it still has the topend of the 06-07 model, and now has some downlow, like the 05 model. and if anyone watched daytona or this weeks wsbk race, you will see how fast the bike is...

BUT WILL IT BE STUNTABLE, THAT IS THE QUESTION AT HAND.

hope that clears some questions up for youguys.

Re: 08 R6 stunted?

i like a challenge, so i would say my current model. 06, it is a far superior bike. but the 03-05 is the better stunter, but i like chaos.

purchasing my 08 this week, already did the paperwork for it, but been workin and havent been able to pick it up.

Re: 08 R6 stunted?

I agree... not a fan of how big the front end is... however if it all works out im sure the bike will work fine just like all the other models... each bike works with the same material... and specs from each other so if you think one bike is better then the other its just personal choice... thats why God made us differant and ability to choose....2cents.
