im going with the 1000rr master....does anyone know anything about the clean air mod??? and maybe some pictures?

 

everyone is going to tell you to do the kleen mod, im gonna be prob the only guy to tell you i dont find a need for it. 2 05/06 636's and i didnt do the mod on either one and never had a problem. i dont disable my tip over sensors therfor if i drop my bike it shuts off and no oil gets into the airbox, ive never gotten oil in my airbox from sitting the bike at 12 and never had a bike hydrolock on me. am i just lucky? idk. i fill my bikes oil to the top line on the site glass and never have had an issue, and the same goes for all the guys from ny i ride with that run 03/04's. i dont see the need for it in my riding. if u plan on doing tricks like chainsaw burnouts and **** like that u might wanna do the tip sensor and kleen mod. otherwise, if it aint broke dont fix it.

Hydrolock??? that doesn't sound good....what is that??

 

if your bike is on its side while running oil will be sent up from the crank case out the crank case breather which is connected to the airbox and once in the airbox it can get sent into the intake which will put oil on top of the cylinder and something to do with oil cant be compressed or ignited or some **** and will make ur engine lock up. if that happens you have to pull out your spark plugs and hit the starter and blows the oil out of the plug holes which makes a huge mess.

 

and if you get enough oil in there it will just destroy your motor in a split second because like sdfkillz mentioned oil doesn't compress so when the piston comes up and tries to compress the oil it can't so instead your connecting rod bends or breaks and shoots straight through your crank case.......

the mod takes 15 minutes to do ,it costs nothing and it gives you a stronger pull at idle......i suggest you do it , better safe then sorry i always say....this is just advise from me to you take it or leave it but better safe then sorry if you ask me...

if you decide to do the mod just do a search at the top of the screen on clean air mod or kleen air mod and you should find all the pics and info on it.....

 

just run flat steel beams from the passenger pegs to the regular pegs, thats a pretty decent reinforcement.

 

yes...better safe than sorry because i don't want to go through another blown motor like on my 05gixxer...that thing was a piece of ****!...

 

well i can't find a kleen air mod for a 05 or 06 636...i just see people talk about it...can anyone find me a website with pictures and a walk through telling me what ill need and stuff...

Hey, is there a pair mod for the new gixxers, like say a K6? LOL Sorry to sound like a squid, but I couldn't find one anywhere about doin it to my bike , and I have to join another site to look at that link sicnate.


I basically don't have anything left to do to my bike, set up wise, except this mod, if there is one for my bike....

Maybe I can just see what they are doin for the other bikes and then take mine apart and see if there is anything similar..?? the area will probably be on the other side of the motor and wrapped up in a kleenex to protect it from heat and moisture or something stupid like that since it's a suzuki! LOL

 

when i take the t valve out...do i leave all the parts out of it????

im confused on the instructions about the tvalve..he makes it sound like i leave all the parts out of it.... but it doesn't for sure say!!
