Are the Newer F4i's weaker??

So does anybody know for sure, are the newer, bannana seat, f4i motors less powerful than the older.
Ive heard the newer motors are toned down, compared to the older.

If so how much difference, and in what aspect (low end, hp, ect).

Im about to buy 2006 non-cali motor with 850 miles on it, but it does have o2 sensor which I was going to remove and put a o2 elimiator in place.

ANybody heard anything bad about removing the o2?

why do you want one with a banana seat...why not just buy an 01 or 02

nah , i have a 02 already, i thinking over buying this 06 motor.

-I heard they were toned down in 2004, something to do with the ecu, or honda trying to make the 600rr more appealing by making its dyno numbers look better, ect..

-Ive heard the cali models were weaker unless you took the o2 sensor and emmission crap off

-also heard if you disconnect the o2 sensor and put the o2 sensor eliminator in that it will make you always run rich

u gotta to take everything with a grain of salt, thats why i posted up, trying to get to the bottom of this

If its just a ecu programming thing don't worry about it just use the 02 ecu. The ecu and motor will never know the diff.

Re: Are the Newer F4i's weaker??

I have an 05' and an 01' ...and the 05' seems to pull quite a bit harder

Could be because it's brand new and the 01' has been beat since day one. idk

I've heard the "newer less powerful" story before and I'm pretty sure it's a crock o' ****.

If you really want to be sure just get a ECU from an older one and swap that out... my opinion is it's a waste of time... my **** pulls as hard as an f4i is capable

I had an 03 from TX and it had a hole for the 02 sensor in the collector. I had to put a coke can and one of those hose clamps around the pipe to keep it from making a stupid sound and blowing exhaust in my face.
