Mine's [05] the same way. No 02 sensor but canister bs under the tail plastic...but to put us back on topic its definitely more twitchy and harder to control than my f4i was. I'm just now starting to clutch up from a stand still and trying to slow it down but **** if I'm not having tons of trouble. Most likely because I'm not talented but thats cool too. I haven't had a chance to ride a newer f4i but there's no way I would believe the 100 - 88 hp difference.

i read about a few tutorials today about eliminating all the emmission junk on the cali f4i, I dont know if one might need to change out the ecu also to a 49 states ecu

I dont know how much effect it would have...

I had heard they did it to make the 600rr's numbers look better.

if this is true do you think its just programming differences in the ECU, in the 49 states models?

I remember reading that the bikes and ecu's are exactly the same... they just downgraded the #'s in a press release for the upcoming 600rr...

i think it was on one of the cbr forums a while back.

The cali bikes w/ the other emissions on the other hand are different in program and hardware... i don't know off hand if they're rated at less hp, but I'd have to think that they would be.
