Re: 636 poll

the tank isnt great because of being half plastic, and its hard to get the clutch adjusted right with the ez pull. but i like the 05 06 better overall

yeah the tank is nothing like a f4i lol but what do u mean by the clutch not adjusting right. mine feels like it needs a new clutch or something. real soft

Re: 636 poll

i mean the clutch has to be pulled in pretty far to disengage so on the easiest setting the lever has to be pulled all the way in to disengage making coasters and other tricks more diffucult

i know what your writing about, i tried adjusting mine so i could use the easiest setting but i had to put tension on the cutch at all times in return the bike barely picked up in second due to it slipping, but overall even stock they dont grab quickly

Re: 636 poll

with my 06 and now my 05 i have no problems with the idle, both bikes pull like tanks off idle even with stock gears i have to try real hard to stall this bike out with the brake. i gear mildly both bikes +7 which is perfect for me. i dont mind the half tank because thats all i need for a dent (im not a real big guy). bigger buys might not like it. ive ridden a handful of 03/04's and my 05 an 06 were stronger bikes in the low range, most likely due to the exaust valve helps with some low end. Note if u run an aftermarket exhuast u wont have that extra low/mid because it removes the valve. all in all this is my favorite bike all around, super smooth and plenty of power, wish it had brakes like a honda but thats about it.

Re: 636 poll

I had a pimp 05 TI colored 636 I stunted for a few months then i rode my buddies 03 and sold my 05 immediately!

here is how i saw it

The 03-04 is much more like not the same but like the f4i but on steroids!
pulls harder but not as smooth as the 05-06.

the 05-06 was super smooth i found sit down stand up and no hand circles effortless on the 05-06 and stoppies.
the 05-06 seems to run out of grunt! when on the gas and the end of a gear the 03-04 pulls a little harder for a little longer but nothing like the Honda it pulls the hardest and longest of any bike i have stunted (something I miss dearly)

for my style of riding 03-04 is it! unless your GARY H and you are super flexable then you will never be as techincal on the 05-06 as the 03-04 unless your GARY. make sense?

I have not owned or ridden a bike that "does it all" but i must say the 03-04 636 comes close...I still miss the f4i and will ride one again in the future.

I guarantee 9 out of 10 stunters who can murder a f4i will not murder a 636 in the same fashon...I did say 9 out of 10 cause you have a select few riders who are dominant no matter what they ride.

any how I hated my 05 tank, but love my 03 tank love the 03 idle
(before it strated bogging out)

both are great bikes for diferent reasons only way to be happy is to own em all!!

or own 1 and man handle what you got
