Safe to take the exhaust off?

Re: Safe to take the exhaust off?
bitch your retarted... the manufacture has highly paid engineers that design a camshaft to work with the right back pressure from exhaust because of emissions and noise. it would be real easy for them to build the engine to run like a mouse on speed... but have no torque to get the bike moving but have open exhaust and scream like a banshee at high rpms and produce alot of horse power..... kinda like a new r6 16500 rpms and suck if your under 11k rpms. dont argue with people cause your an idiot...

just go ride some more power wheelies
Do you ride a gixxer? Or do you just really think they are great bikes?

Stock, i have to take....**** i forgot his screen name since i pressed post, but it's Mr. Gixxer on the fact that these bikes are nearly perfectly designed to have the perfect backpressure with the stock can, that's why when i cut mine down, i welded a insert in there, and then drilled holes in it.....

So its common knowledge less back pressure = less torque to a certain degree. I just got this new pipe from Hard Rock Motorsports, I kinda wandered about it, but just got it put on 10mins ago it it rocks. Has the ability to restrict the outlet of the pipe for adjustable backpressure, and its loud as ****. Check out the website http://www.hardrockmotorsports.com/h..._F4I_RIOT.html

Re: Safe to take the exhaust off?
i picked up a pipe and when i was doing the install i decided to hear how it sounded without one... so i started it up and rode for a few days with out a pipe... neighbors and landscapers everywhere were having fits... especially due to the fact that it sounds like you're doing 100mph out of ur neighborhood when you're really doing 10... I put the new pipe on once everyone refused to ride with me due to them going deaf and the cops following us everywhere.

just admit you were wrong, you know what to do from there.

Re: Safe to take the exhaust off?
Yup..... example:
I have a stocker can that was cut to keep all 3 chambers intact and there is a VERY distinct, noticable difference in low end power and throttle response, especially on idle.
Compared to a shorty 2bros... the stocker will pull much harder on idle and there's much less need for gas inputs and when you do ya gotta go easy cause it's touchy.
When I swap cans, it literally takes me half the session just to get used to the change in throttle responsiveness. And I'll run about 1500rpms less w/ the stocker to compensate.
So... for stunting purposes... taking the exhaust off completely is not a good idea. We all seem to already know this though.... most of us anyway.
