on my first F4i when my exhaust used to fall off all the time, i just got tired of it and rode without it for at least a month never had any problems with that motor until i believe somewhere around 36,xxx miles, i was doing rev limiter crazy larry's and snapped a rod.

1. f4i headers go 4-2-1, so there is always at least one cylinder firing pushing exhaust out.

2. ive never heard any popping noise out of my bike .

3. yes, cold air will cause the valves to get fucked, but as i previously stated and you agreed to, the headers are plenty long to not allow this to happen.

4. this is not stupid because this is what the thread was about.

5. you sounded credible until your last sentence.

i gurantee that thing will not hold up to the abuse that honda will.

ever hit rev limiter?

ever held rev limiter, with WIDE OPEN throttle, for more then 30 seconds?

And how many miles you have?

I'll put a f4i to a rev limiter match against a gixxer ANY day of the week...

I'll also put any honda to a gorilla scrap contest and see who's frame last longest

Just saying.. Cuz we all know its the truth.. Gixxers are **** boxes! They serve 1 purpose, to go fast..

honda = reliability, gixer = fast..

I'd rather ride a kawasaki or yamaha any day!

edit: and no i'm not a fan boy.. Its just chance that I ended up with 4 hondas! lol
crf50 obviously the best 50, f4i obviously the most reliable easiest to stunt bike, 150f well I wanted a ttr125 but coudn't get approved for a yamaha card, so I swiped the honda card, and my car, well cmon, hondas LAST!

Re: Safe to take the exhaust off?

No whats a rev limiter?

And yes iv held it on the limiter for more than 30 sec........

my bike became a stunt bike at 2000miles and has almost 7000 now

And why would you want to have a rev limiter match....My ***** only on the limiter for a trick.....

Ya my subframe is a piece....thats why i dont smash the **** out of....but il scrape it all day long no breaky

Any yes Hondas are a bad *** bike........I just said my gsxr has been good to me and iv been pretty hard on it......

7000 lol

whats that, just past break in?

7000, thats still minty fresh new **** IMO

I got my bike with 12k! And destroyed it all the way to 26k.. And that dosen't include teh 2-3k odd miles I ran no gauges...

I bet your gixxer is fine at 7k.. but lets talk about its condition at 15-20k+

bitch your retarted... the manufacture has highly paid engineers that design a camshaft to work with the right back pressure from exhaust because of emissions and noise. it would be real easy for them to build the engine to run like a mouse on speed... but have no torque to get the bike moving but have open exhaust and scream like a banshee at high rpms and produce alot of horse power..... kinda like a new r6 16500 rpms and suck if your under 11k rpms. dont argue with people cause your an idiot...
