Rhino Line 929?

Rhino Line 929?
Rather than painting... I'm considering putting rhino liner on my 929 tank and plastics.
So... I know people have done this, is there anything good / bad I should know about it? Should I do it?
For "Bad" I would guess would be a lot of added weight. Maybe ugly? No way to put on decals I'd imagine, so it'd be a pretty plain looking bike.
For "Good" I would guess no need to put surfboard / griptape on the tank. And maybe more resistant to scratches and scrapes on crashes. More durable?
I imagine it as a spit-coat like they use on higher end speaker cabinets to hide the wear & tear of moving the equipment around from show to show.
So... Your thoughts?

Worked awesome for the tank when i had done it. My only suggestion is to not do the whole tank i literally put a hole on the inside knees of every pair of jeans i wore within a few hour lot session from the lining on the sides of the tank.

Re: Rhino Line 929?
Just got a quote from a guy in Boulder CO... not too far from where I live...
He's an authorized guy for Line-x, and said that to do tank, and all the plastics will cost 100 - 150 bucks max. He also said it's the textured stuff. Hell, price is right, and it'll make the last of my sanding work a ton easier since I don't need to make it baby smooth.
Go for it?

i WOULD NOT take it to a shop and have it done. get some cans of $5 bedliner at walmart it works just as good for this. also when you scrape a plastic you can spot spray it and the texture will match.
note only do this period if you plan on keeping it for a long time. if you decide to go back to paint its a BITCH to remove. almost to the point to consider buying new plastics all together. took me about 6-7 hours of sanding and prep to get mine back to paint.
after a day at the lot and pounding some beers heres one of me stylin on my linered gsxr.

Re: Rhino Line 929?
the problem with rhino lining is it doesn't fulyl adhere to plastics. meaning once you chip it or scratch it it will start to know the rest off. id imagine if you keep touching it up it will be fine. but thats just what the rhino lining guys told me when i went to get it done 6 years ago. im not sure whats changed
