Another Toilet Dent! Pics of how I did it!
Re: Another Toilet Dent! Pics of how I did it!
congrats you just wasted your time bondo , sanding , airbrush and everything else.
JB WELD wont last that long...give it two-three weeks max at the most.
The best bet is to weld the crack on gas tank.

That can't be a good move...
As for the dent, why dent the front? when was the last time anyone ever sat up there? Nice paint, but the gas will eat through the JB weld, you'll see. Weld it or throw it out. I've dented a few tanks and if you do it right you don't need any jb or bondo
wanted to add that if it's not too deep or harsh an edge the paint doesn't even crack

Hey Trick ncie job on a 2nd denting, looks good to me, but I am squid. Why is the cap volcano'ed? I find the opinions about placement usefull, I've dented my tank big and flat, but now going back and making it deeper in the rear to try out, hopefully it will hold me more and get more denting practice, before doin it to my 07.

damn *****. i thought there was more of a lip in the back of your old tank. seems like the side of your *** holds you in more than the back.
either way i gotta beat my cap in more. i did it a little in atl and it felt a little better.

Oh I'm surprised no one else said that dent belongs in the toilet...
Paint might look good but that's it.
You might be able to tuck threw to hc on that if your wee man.
I guess its better you stay in a garage spending hours denting a tank instead of power wheeling into the back of a car.

its alot easier if you just stomp the cap a couple times then use a deadblow to do most of the shaping and to finish it off use a small dead blow for fine touching.... i've dented alot of f4i tanks w/ VERY minimal to no creasing this way... just did an o-town dent on my new tank and it feels GREAT but i havent painted it yet so i haven ridden w/ it but it was by far the easiest dent i've done.... and i agree w/ the other guy... i've never tried to sit on the front part of a dent... the ONLY thing im afraid may be a prob w/ the o-town style is pull throughs
