HANDBRAKE set-up question!

ok guys heres my problem im running the GP tech adapter kit, with a 07 gsx-r 600 front master and an asv brake away clutch! my problem tho is that when im mounting them on my bars the clutch cant get close cause the masters banjo bolt is ******* HUGE and def. in the way! and if i put the clutch on the bottom there is a bleeder valve or something (about an inch long or so) pushing the clutch down!!! ARE ALL MASTERS GONNA DO THIS **** OR IS THE 07 GSX-R MASTER JUST SHITTY FOR A HB???

any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: HANDBRAKE set-up question!

my banjo gets in the way so i just moved my clutch lever in so it would go around it. How much bigger is your banjo?

Re: HANDBRAKE set-up question!

with the way the ASV pivots your going to have to run the master on the inside (to the right of the clutch) and run the full length lever.. when i had the ASV on my first bike i was VERY limited where i could place my master.... and ever since i got my MSR i've loved it, and with a honda clutch adjuster in its 10 times better (you get rid of that big ugly locking wheel) you just have to set them up right and it wil last

get rid of that ASV

Hey squidbilly, breakdown and order the EZpull like i told ya, you are gonna have to do it someday. Or i will swap a honda master for the one you have, even temporarily if u want(just to help u out cuz i already have a gsxr mstr) . It fit when i had that clutch on my bike.

Re: HANDBRAKE set-up question!

ez pull clutch and 929/954 mastercylinder with a fullthrottle billet rear real pimp ****, wont have any problems with space issues, they were meant to be together haha. but i unlike alot of people run my mastercylinder outside my clutch where as most people run it vise versa

dude ur set ups pretty golden as it is, you throw away the stock brake line from the rear master to the rear caliper so it breaks down like this

lever > master on forks
line from fork master > rear master
line2 from forkvmaster > rear caliper

the rear master n res provides the fluid for the system, the rear footbrake pushes fluid through the line to the front master and back to the rear caliper, the hand lever acts as another pump to the rear master
