i might be able to pick up one of these REAL cheap and was wondering if they are better than previous gsxrs. i know the frame looks way more stout than the 07 kawi.

but is it still choppy?

i know i seen someone up in MN on one and i think one of the legion guys stunted one too...


any feedback?

 

i rode my buddies 06 last weekend. its all stock, and i couldnt get it to come up in second gear. i went down into first and it seemed like a totally different bike.

and i liked having the gear indicator, as my 636 does not have one and im always looking for 7th gear

 

im talking about for stunting.

 

the choppyNESS is because of the rider.....

but about the bike, i had a 06. came up in 2nd NO PROBLEM. geared it 1 dn 4 up. mainly rode the streets with it. i liked it. as far as parking lot, didnt like it as much as other bikes ive stunted. couldve had to do with the gearing though.

if you can get one for CHEAP, why not rock it.

 

my buddy stunts one 07 i rode it it feels good he has db bars 60 tooth in the back and 1 down in the front good power

with gsxr its an exception. go ride a 02 600 and immediatly jump on a f4i.

gsxr is way more touchy for some reason.



well i could get one cause i work at a suzuki/ktm/bmw/kawasaki/yamaha dealership and my boss said he'd help me get whatever i wanted for our weekly bike night shows as long as it wasnt an honda or 2 model runs old.

and i think the looks of the gsxr streetfightered looks amazing.

 

o and if you get it and use it for the lot take thr servo off it really helps out on the power

 

ive stunted a 02 f4i, 01 f4i, 03 f4i, 04 636, 06 gsxr6, 03 600rr, 04 600rr, 06 600rr, 07 600rr, crf50, 900rr... i think thats it. could be more though.

and ill say it again, CHOPPYNESS is due to the RIDER!!! hahaha

 

yeah but no old gsxr. all those bikes you listed are pretty smooth bikes.


i dont cran the idle to 6k. anyone is smooth on idle.

 

you said theyre "way more touchy". ALL THE NEWER BIKES ARE MORE TOUCHY. so that makes no sense sayin all the bikes i listed are more smooth.

NEWER BIKES + TOUCHY THROTTLE = RIDER NEEDS TO BE SMOOTHER ON THE THROTTLE

therefore that means the choppyness is due to the RIDER NOT THE BIKE

Fi systems now are little bit more refined which is making them smoother....especially with the on/off the gas transitions.


all i know is that i rode one (02 gsxr600) and i didnt like it. my f4i has been the smoothest so far.

and yes. the bike will be for me. you know how we do it at Woodsons up here. they help me with a bike that id get to keep. I cant be here tryin to sell everyone a bike other than a honda and then go out back and ride a honda.

also... from my eyes view the 07-08 kawi frames look WAY more weak than the gixxers. at least from a cage mounting point of view.

 

gsxrs have choppy tendencies until you get used to it. there rear brakes are really touchy thats where most of it comes from. one thing i used to do is put sandpaper to the rotor and just scuff it up a little. either way with time youll be just as good on that gsxr as you are on the 636........which isnt saying much j/k good buddy
