Fi systems now are little bit more refined which is making them smoother....especially with the on/off the gas transitions.

all i know is that i rode one (02 gsxr600) and i didnt like it. my f4i has been the smoothest so far.
ive rode everyone of those bikes i listed above in the lot. i started on a f4i. and now i ride 600rr's. the throttle response is much better which you have to be that much smoother on it. i had no problem adjusting at all though.

im not tryin to argue with you either. just tryin to explain to you that if you switch over to ANY newer bike, the throttle is goin to be more touchy, which means if youre not smooth on the throttle, its goin to be choppy.

to be honest, the f4i to me lacks power and has more play in the throttle response than any other bike, therefore its MUCH easier to be smooth.

hope that helps you a little more to understand what i was trying to say

keep in mind as well that Vetter rocks stock gearing which gives you more slack in 1st gear.

well that explains a lot

either way, im sure you'll get used to it. just set it up the way you like it and youll be fine. when i jump on someone elses bike thats all set up, i usually hate it. its all personal preference.

and if youre gettin the bike for free, can you really complain what it is?? :YEAH

oh ive ridden a sprocketed bike and its actually a little easier. its soo easy to stall out or get to low doing circles on stock gearing.

merk steps are kinda hard on stock gearing. lol.... many times its gotten away from me. my feet cant move that fast.

any feedback?
i was thinkin that maybe the throttle response is not what your feelin'. if the frame on the gixxer is really that much more stout, it might be the fact that is has less flex, making it feel like a harsher ride.just my that's why duc's are made with trelis frames(more flex/more feel)

RUStunter RUSerious!!! i think they feel lighter , there wasnt much of a weight change from 05 to 06 the big difference is where the wieght is distributed. well at least we all know their lighter then 01-03 model

Re: 06-07 gsxr 600 anybody running one?

I stunted a 06-07 gsxr600, 07 gsxr750, 01 f4i...the gixxers have quick snappy throttle response, the f4i has a smoother response and a sweet balance point...the f4i feels lighter too..

Re: 06-07 gsxr 600 anybody running one?

talk to j-britton, i got a chance to email back n forth with him a bit and i asked about the frames, he says he's got no problems with his so long as hes had it and said pretty much just dont pancake it or let it slam down from bp. i wonder if you have the stock welds enforced if it'll still have that problem. a guy down here used to run fremont cycle salvage til he opened a kawi dealer said a kickstand stationary drop is enough to damage the frame

either way, cage it up and go hard sounds like the price is right so why even ask? hell jason b, warren j and j-beats rock em whats stopping you?

Re: 06-07 gsxr 600 anybody running one?

Seriously I have seen plenty of people killin lots on the K6.

I have an 06 600 as my street bike with -1+3 and I love slow speed on it. I'm gunna turn it into a stunner, just gotta reinforce the subframe.

I have wrecked on it HARD 2 times and dropped it several other times and no problems at all.
