Then and now the difference....
Then and now the difference....
Ever wonder when you see an old trick and or a old trick with a new spin which trick is better executed. One that i have been contemplating is a simple hi-chair stoppie. Most of us do a hi-chair stoppie sitting on the tank using one foot to brace ourself on the upper stay. but if you look at the old school riders they would actually sit on the upper. I'll use a old photo of dan jackson and a new photo of Colton... so I'm wondering which one do you think is better? they are both cool ways to do them but what appeals to you and who still does it the old way? I know Rick Payne use to roll a few hundred feet on hi-chair.

Re: Then and now the difference....
I never thought about bracing against the fairing stay (OG way). The longest ones I've seen rolled are that way. The new school way I see people doin em in 180's.
Either way, I can't do em.. I'd end up blowing out my shoulders and falling over the front.

I like the OG way better. No one had them better than this man right here.

Re: Then and now the difference....
If i go for distance I do OG highchair because it makes me feel like i'm one with the bike like a normal stoppie but now that I am doing HC 180's and what not I cant get the same control with the old school way as I can with my foot on the upper. Again I think that it all comes down to a persons riding style.

BTW: Kane was actually the first one that I saw using his foot as a brace to do Highchair stoppies. Just a fun fact for everyone.
