SI is damn near bullet proof.
I crashed hard a few weeks ago and it bent the lower front bar back to my headers on one side. Still work great!

Tygershark EVO cage is by far the greatest cage I've tested yet. I can't break anything and I've wadded *** super hard as of late. Not sure if its in production yet as I've been working close with Bruce to get it perfect. So far its Diesel!

1st gen cage is very strong. The only reason it was changed is because we didnt like the flat plates that went under the fairings so we changed it to go through the fairings and used tubing.

si is the only cage for the 03-04 636. if you own stock in a company that sells stators and stator covers, then buy an fi. you will be rich in no time!

Use it!! Bolts on nice. Close tolerances so it stays tight. The lower bar in front really beefs up the cage, and its the one support thats missing from TS. If TS had a bar that ran to both sides it would be the #1 crash cage. It really depends on the rider and how hard and often he crashes.

Thats funny I feel the exact opposite, and think TS is the best because it doesnt have a bar that runs through both sides....All cages that run through the bodywork shift from side to side when you drop them hard enough, TS cages do not shift..They are soo rigid they dont need a bar going through boths sides... And without that bar you also gain ground clearance.....I was sic of bottoming out while drifting causing me to low slide

Really!! I was thinking that TS without a lower bar would cause its sticking out bar to bend down into the stator cover on hard hits. But if this doesnt really happen then yeah I might even have to try it. I agree the shifting thing sucks. If I had fairings on my bike on this last crash it would have folded the hell outta my side fairings. I cant control the drift thing so I cant talk on that. My friend mark has the new 905 cage and he hits the cage on drifts. Hopefully on the next gen. cage they can address that. SI is still a very strong cage but maybe the TS is just as good. I might have to give it a try.

Not taking anything from anyone nor is this comparing any 2 cages, but 3 mounting points is much stronger than 2. We tried many different designs and the 3 point is stronger. Ours dont drag the ground during drifting and anyone that has used our cages knows that. Just droppin my info.

You cant compare TS to SI cage design, SI is 3 point yes but they are hollow tube....TS doesnt need 3 points because they get ther rigidness from the fact they use solid rod not tube....It is literally impossible to bent their main tube, it has a brace in the middle so there is only about 6" of overhang that could bend. Theres no way your bending that solid tube with only 6" overhang for leverage....

Ive dropped the TS as hard or harder then I ever have and it hasnt bent at all, all I ever have to do is tighten the mounting bolts after a few big hits...
I'll bet money that any 3 point cage that goes throguh the bodywork would have shifted by now, but the TS is basically mint still...If I repainted it I could sell it as new....

Another thing is the sliders on TS make every other cages slider look like a joke! These things actaully last......Those tiny *** slider everyone gives wear down way too fast...

Tubing is stronger than solid stock.

In theory yes I know this, but Ive got 3 kinked and bent out of hell 3 point hollow tube cages that contest that theory..

Rod doesnt kink, and especially not when theres only 6" of leverage....You do understand that the longer you make a piece for a cage the more leverage is avialavble to bent that piece...example the long tube that goes from the motor mount to the bottom of the fairings...You know the tube that always bends when a 3 poin cage shifts from side to side.....This is also why F4i cages tend to be the strongest, because the mounts are so close the cage parts are short and the overall cage is compact...

Bottom line Ive tried both and the TS is outlasting any 3 point hollw tube Ive seen or tried.....SI is a good cage! I dont doubt that but IMO and experience the TS is better then anything else out there right now...

My buddy bought a SI for his 05 636 and he needs a new cage, its shifted all out of shape....He going to get a TS to replace it, and I wont be surprised if it outlasts the SI he wreaked...

Again this is just my opinon basied on my and my freinds I ride with experiences....Some may aggree and others not

i look at it this way. its easyier to bend tubing then bar stock, now please explain how it would be stronger if its easier to bend, im just finding that hard to belive...unless it has something to do with the weld... let me know... but im on the tygershark side, and the sliders are beast, the springs absorb some of the impact too
