Re: bleeding the 16x18

nah, for me the brembo 16x18 on 1 stock caliper didn't do the trick neither... Got nothing to do with bleeding or anything, it just didn't worked for me...

bleeding is easy, just put it on the right side, next to where the frontbrake is, and bleed it all the way, then mount it on the other clip on upside down

Re: bleeding the 16x18

It bleeds like every other handbrake but i learned a little trick. I fill the resivoir and use a big seringe and suck it through from the rear caliper then bleed like normal.

i have gotten mine to lock up one finger but it was all i had to squeeze it that tight, and it wasnt doing a wheelie. I dont think its all its talked up to be, but i have no complaints i like it.

Re: bleeding the 16x18

mines bled out perfectly, and before my current setup, it wouldn't lock the tire up with one finger either. not that it really matters that much....it was still strong enough to pull me back down from ugly highchairs, and was also smooth enough to drop right in and control seat stander circles, or NTH seatstanders.

My current setup WILL lock it up with one finger tho! Not that its needed, but its that damn strong. If thats what you're looking for, hit up HoHey or Guru and ask for the StreetFighterz edition dual caliper bracket. The thing is seriously sick, looks great, works great,....

well i know its the new edition i wanted to know why but my common sense just kicked me in the back of the head -
front caliper dual piston = more brake power
rear caliper single piston= less brake power

Re: bleeding the 16x18

WHY????
its basically an exercise in overkill! hahaha I seriously love this setup tho. I have the brembo mounted on the other side of the clipon bracket next to the triple, putting my middle finger hooked onto the ball of the lever. I'm running new OEM pads on a 4-piston honda caliper for the handbrake, and everything stock for my footbrake. Setup works awesome. A lil touchy for people used to pulling the **** outta their levers, but for me, I move my lever MAYBE 1/4" while in SS circs and thats to pull it hard. Actually keeps my hands from wearing out.

as for my front end.....its a heavily built 954 front end.....I say heavily bc it has 1.1 rate Traxxion Dynamics fork springs, some valves and **** the shop told me to get, and I think either 10w or 12.5w fork oil (2mm below recommended fill level)....alot heavier than stock. To top it off, I have Seal Savers covering the fork seals and haven't replaced them for over a year and a half, and they have never leaked a drop.
My plan was to be rolling LONG endoes, but flipped one hard, blew a motor, and trashed a front wheel.....stifled my progress!

Re: bleeding the 16x18

flip the 16x18 right side up and it will bleed 1000 times better, also if you get a zip tie and zip tie the leave to the grip( like you are pullin the leaver) and leave it over night it gets some air out as well. i have 16x18 with hohey sf edition dual piston braket and i have effortless lock up. i love it
