Why do cagers get bad reps?

Over the last couple of weeks I've been reading alot of threads and I seem to always come across a thread that burns on cagers for one reason or another, I simply got one for my "street" bike to hopefully save it if I go down if I hit a patch of sand or something, also I don't have full coverage insurance, if I did I prob. wouldn't have caged my "street" bike.

Learn the lingo.

Cager=person driving an automobile.
Cage=A protective loop of steel bolted to a bike.

In my opinion if you stunt your "streetbike" then a cage is a good idea if all you do is an ocasional wheelie or want protection you should have gone with racerailz from Powers Stuntworx.
They are cheaper than a cage and provide better protection than sliders check'm out

yes a majority of people on here run cages, but cagers suck, even though 99% on here have a car/truck as well.

Damn!! I totally squided myself on this one. I missunderstood the term "cager" as a person with a cage on thier bike. My bad! BTW. I have a Powers cage on my street and stunt bike, I love 'em so far.

Re: Why do cagers get bad reps?

Dude, I wasn't a cager at all when I first got my 500 (cuz I was 15 and couldn't drive a car yet) - that sucked lemme tell ya! I had to peel frozen gloves off the bars during the winter.
But if I'm ridin' in the car with a true cager, I always say somethin' if we get near a fellow rider - gotta look out for each other, cuz cagers don't give a rip. 'Specially cagers with cell phones and loud stereos.
