Re: 929rr Vs. 945rr

i think tha the 954 is one of the best looking bikes ever produced, and although ive never had the pleasure of riding either one, id be pressed to go with the 954, but ive heard nothing but good about both. i think either would be a great choice for a big motor bike

I disagree i dont think an R1 will walk all over a 954. I know the R1 has a little more power but saying it that way is like comparing a 600 to a 1k

your right, but an r1 will walk on a 954, maybe not all over it but will walk on it...

but anyway are you talking about stuntin or top speed or what for which is better??

if you wanna get serious into stuntin just get a 600, if you wanna play around but be pimp faster shady at the same time, stay with the 954 or whatever you have

and then if you wanna talk about 954 vs 929, you already have one so just stay with it

954 brakes are better then 929
the handling is almost the same, 954 a little bit better
954 is alittle quicker on acceleration too, but it is also 25 ccs bigger

edit: also i think the 954 is more comfortable to ride, the reach to the bars are shorter

Yea a lot of people have told me that the 954 is basically a 1k engine in a 600 body haha the guy that i got it from rides a 06 gixxer 1k and said he was gonna give the 954 to his girl but it wheelies way too easy and its just too much for her, especially for her first bike

yup, still though if you wanna start stuntin, 600 hands down
636 or f4i, had them both, both great bikes
like 636 better

Just for discussion. In your opinion, what do you like more about the 636 over the F4i?

Its 04-06 that went back to the banana seat. The 01-03 are split style. If you get a good deal on a newer F4i 04-06 the 01-03 tail section is a direct bolt on swap.

Also Cheap & F4i don't really go in the same sentance. They arent expensive but IMO not cheap eather. They hold there resale very well. And is an awsome bike. Strongest stunter out there. Easy to wheelie also. I'm picking up one in a couple months.

have you ever ridden an r1?? maybe its just that im geared differently or dont weigh as much, but everytime i go up against my buddies 954 i easily put a good number of bike lengths on him.

to start

600RR has more power, undertail exhaust, harder tank to dent, beter front end, more durable than a 636 but not as much as the f4i

F4i, easier bike to stunt, larger ballence point, more durable, smoother.

Re: 929rr Vs. 945rr

Ok were to start... I own a 929 and have ridden a 954, R1, and zx-10. I love my 929 but my "dream bike" is a 954. The differences between 929 and 954 are close to nothing I feel. The 954 is just a beefed up 929. I just like the look of the 954 a lil better. A old buddy of mine (******* lying bitch now) had a 01 R1 and I freakin hated it. I just couldnt find a single thing I liked about it. Ya its a lil faster then the 929 and 954 but that is about it. I hate the seating, braking, wheelieing, and turning. Sorry if im bashing any1 but I just did not have fun on it. 954 was pretty sweet. Its a lil faster and a lil smoother then my 929 but not enuff difference for me to sell my 929 and get a 954. Ill wait till i blow mine up till i get a 954. The zx-10 was pretty sweet too, but I feel the 929/954s are better overall. The zx-10 is fast, comfortable, and great smoothness and turning. Im 250lbs. And eventhough im all about clutch popping on the zx-10 if i preload in 3rd and just roll the throttle on that thing comes right up off the ground. I wanna get on a gixxer 1000 and check it out.

Stunting wise I agree with the other guys below. Stunting my 929 has been challenging but I wanted to learn on a liter bike so when i get on a smaller bike ill be really good. If you are trying to stunt, 600s are the way to go. I hopped on my buddies 4fi not to long ago and it took me some time to keep a wheelie up. I am so used to being so light on the throttle and the f4i u can straight up yank on the throttle and the bike barely moves. After figuring that out I started to fall in love with the f4i so I got off it before i got any ideas. But that just showed me that these guys are right. If you can stunt a liter bike you can stunt anything.

Also on another note. another difference between the f4i and 600rr is the rear peg placement is kinda shitty. They are a lil close so in a wheelie your hunched over a bit more. But an OMR subcage fixes that.

Good job on getting the 954, you'll love it once you get it back from paint.

If your gunna stunt it out here is my set up just for some ideas for you.

Tygershark cage, Powers subcage, fullthrottleinc. master with brembo handbrake, and MSR Raptor easy pull clutch lever. The only thing I feel a screwed up on is the fullthrottleinc. master. It is freakin great but for $200 bucks I feel the adaptor kit for the stock master would have worked just as good and the kit is only like $80.

Ill put up a pic of my bike later if you want so you can see what it looks like with everything on it.

I have a 2001 R1 and this is the exact kind of thing I want to hear. I'm debating geting rid of it for a 954 and to be honest I'm glad you said it like you did and didn't try to sugercoat it. I know my bike had alittle more power than the 954 but I could deal with alittle less power for a smoother/better bike.

thanks

if you get one with a banna seat, sell your subframe and seat on ebay, and buy an 01-03 subframe and seat

well my f4i wasnt street legal and was streetfightered, i like the full fairing look of the 636, also 636 you dont need that much of a gearing, i mean you dont need gearing at all, but less gearing on this bike is like going more on another cuz of the extra torque, so its easier to stay streetable and lot'able...636 is a little weaker but idle tricks are strong, and it doesnt have the bog... this thing with the kleen air mod pulls like a train... i just got the 636 and the cage only went on a couple days ago, but i like it better already, but i would like to get another f4i to streetfighter...

the 600r is like the track version of the f4i, like yamaha made the new r6 and kept the old one r6s, the f4i is more streetable and more comfortable position, the 600rr is more agressive and like a cramped f4i, standups are really uncomfortable imo cuz its so cramped, also i dont like scraping exhaust just cuz i dont trust it, rather scrape plastic or a bar... but personally i like that the tank on the 600rr is two pieces, easier to make it look better and work on
f4i is also stronger just because its a bit bigger and how it was built

954... def. 954.

i didnt like much about the R1.

but every 954 or 929 i rode felt so nice. Everything feels like it's just right. So smooth & more stable compared to the R1.

Re: 929rr Vs. 945rr

Any idea if the 954 has the same inconsistent idle as the 929 ?? So far every 929 I have seen in the stunt game has a problem when turning the idle up..

Seems to go all over the place right before clutch up...

I have a 954 in the garage that I am not using...Maybe it could be victim to the stunt game next year..

Cheers
