f4i kleen air mod??????????

Re: f4i kleen air mod??????????
Just disconnect all the vent hoses that go to the air box, and either run them to a catch can, or let em vent into the air
Mine just dump into small filters, then to the ground..
Last time I dumped my f4i on idle, it just sat there chugging oil out the vent hoses onto the ground :YEAH

Re: f4i kleen air mod??????????
well you are right it isn't quite the same on an f4i as the 636. its actually easier. all youdo is run the breather hose to a t fitting or the pair valve and not only will it keep oil outta the air box(which on f4i i think only happens when laying on its side) but it will suck all the pressure outta the crank case. if you look a few post before i posted a link where i took pics and posted what i did to my f4i

Shiiiiitttttt! The story was actually on his bike. I told him to get rid off that junk 905 cage! He scraped her out and lost it. I had to cut the cage off the bike. He's coming along for being a newb. First lesson, don't let go off the bike!!

Re: f4i kleen air mod??????????
i have seen alot of f4i's fill up the air box with oil from running while lying on one side
that could cause a hydro lock sitiuation and destroy a motor especialy if the tip over sensor is disconnected and the idle is turned up
so a kleen air mod would be a good idea in my oppinion and like needles said it would keep the hot oily air out of the air box and thats good for some extra horse power
with that being said the fact that it smoked after you put it on the bar probably does mean you had too much oil in it but it could have gotten oil in the box from lying on it's side and it just got in the throttle bodies after you put it on the bar

i do think the oil got in the airbox from the tip over and then made its way to the throttle bodies.
I don't want to see a motor hydro lock from somthing as simple as dropping the bike on it's side learning tricks. That's why I'm personally a 636 guy:YEAH

Re: f4i kleen air mod??????????
after reading the whole ****** forum and bugging the **** out of all yall I think I got it down. but there is still one question left..... Does the f4i work similiar to the 636 in that it ports to the exhaust?? or will pressure build from running the hoses from the valve cover back to the valve cover???

Re: f4i kleen air mod??????????
I have done it to my f4i, havent got any oil in the box since then. I think it pulls harder on idle after that 2... Did didnt open the PAIR thing, just plugged in the hoose from the breather into the PAIR.
