f4i kleen air mod??????????
Just wondering if there is any mod for the f4i? At the lot the other night, roll it back and scrape it and then smoke screen. Took the tank off and all hoses hooked up like normal. What can I do with them????
The oil in the airbox is from the valve cover hose, can I block that somehow??

did lay it on it's side once earlier but it didn't start smoking until later. I guess it could just be the little bit of oil already in the hose from being on it's side? Wouldn't the guys who used to race the f4i block off the air box from the hoses to keep clean fresh air in the airbox? That is actually how I heard about my 636 mod before I ever saw it posted, from a guy at the track.

i have seen alot of f4i's fill up the air box with oil from running while lying on one side
that could cause a hydro lock sitiuation and destroy a motor especialy if the tip over sensor is disconnected and the idle is turned up
so a kleen air mod would be a good idea in my oppinion and like needles said it would keep the hot oily air out of the air box and thats good for some extra horse power
with that being said the fact that it smoked after you put it on the bar probably does mean you had too much oil in it but it could have gotten oil in the box from lying on it's side and it just got in the throttle bodies after you put it on the bar

My buddy just blew his low mileage F4i motor at the spot the other day, he hydro locked it and tried to start it...Clunk clunk clank broken connecting rod
Even thou the breather on the F4i is off the head cover, it could still use a breather mod so it doesnt route to the airbox..

Just disconnect all the vent hoses that go to the air box, and either run them to a catch can, or let em vent into the air
Mine just dump into small filters, then to the ground..
Last time I dumped my f4i on idle, it just sat there chugging oil out the vent hoses onto the ground :YEAH
