stoppie went bad and i crashed hard, engine cage worked great though

Last night me and the guys went out for a stunt session. I was going to see how long i could get for distance with my stoppies because lately they've been getting better.

first, some background, my 929 has damaged head bearings so there is play in the steering stem, no big deal at 30-40mph stoppies....but it is at high speed.

so anyways, i'm warming up, pulling them longer and longer then higher. I go for a long one, i roll up about 110mph and pull it up good and high, well like normal i get a little head shake but instantly it turns violent and then goes full lock to the left and down i went. I can't say exactly how fast i was going when i went down, i was only in a stoppie for maybe 20-30 feet before i went down so i had quite a bit of speed still. The first thing to hit was my head and shoulder. and i don't remember tumbling but my friends said i bounced a couple times. I ended up having some nice bruises on my hips and lots of rash on my hips too....No breaks but i have a nice concussion. I smashed the styrofoam on the inside of my helmet so i need a new one of those now. thank god i was wearing it.

also, i have an engine cage by www.freestyleingenuity.com and it saved my bike great. I've dropped it from 12 a couple times and this wreck and my bike hasn't gotten hurt. The most it got was bent levers and it wore down the plastic slider on the side but other than that it worked. My side plastics didn't even get rash on them.

anyways, i'm doing ok now, i guess i took a hard lesson of screwing around with messed up head bearings. I bought new ones today so i should be back riding ina couple weeks. I hope the fear doesn't set in on me. any tips on how not to get afraid of it now?

stoppies!

good thing your ok. as far as the fear i have no advice i'm still scared myself......................just today i did my first endo, ask sinista he was there, first few were small 1-2 ft off the ground but by my 5th one i was damn near up all the way it was great but it scared me a little bit.my guess is go out first thing in the morning and do it again maybe by the end of the week i'll be rollin on them? so as soon as your bike is fixed the first thing ya should do is a stoppie!!!!! look at that i had some advice after all.......

oh, the bike is fine, i got up and after about 20 minutes i was able to handle the pain and i did some stand up wheelies and i busted out 2 more slow speed stoppies but then i parked the bike. I got on to ride today and did some small burnouts but i'm gonna ease up on the stunting for a little while til these huge bruises go away and til i get a new helmet cuase mine is smashed on the inside from my head.

ya, i know i need to keep the camera on

i was doing good, slowly increasing speed and not having problems so it wasn't like i just hopped on and said let's try 110.

i have a scott's damper on it, but with those damaged bearings i don't think it mattered. i ordered new ones and i'm not riding that bike until i get them in. I'm resting myself.

hopefully i'll see ya all in st. louis
