900rr Not quite @ 12:00 question

what up,
I got a 98 900rr w/ a freestlye ingenuity 12 bar on it. The bar is only about 1 - 2" off my tail, but when i park my bike on the bar & look at it. the god damn thing is not at 12.00. more like 11.50. anyone else have this , or seen it before?
look:

Im gonna re-position the 12 bar, but there isn't much further down I can go.

you have to move the bar in.

look at the guys that do 12's on 900rr, most of them the bar is flush with what would have been the tail, then you have to cut the tail out to get your foot in there. chauncey's bike is a good example.

My main man on the RR (crazy-J), he cut his tail and runs the bar about 4 inches in from stock tail, thats what you need to do if you really want to get serious. On my gsxr im runnin about 5 inches in, but thoes got long tails on them.

yeah, my chain is new & my tire is most of the way in. But im gonna adjust the bar. For one it only scrapes the bottom 1/2 of the bar & 2. If im gonna scrape it, SCRAPE it way back. Further back on the bar you are anyway the more stable it is (when draggin tail). Not to mention, when im way back creeping a wheelie - i hit the bar by accident cause it sticks out to far. Damn thing.

Im gonna set it up w/ no tail on it & just hack it back on once i got it right. zip tie the tail light on & im good to go. This 11.50 crap just aint cuttin it!

Thanks for all the reply's.

i just cut my bar off about a week ago. from the end of the subframe to the longest point on my bar is almost 4 inches. it is past 12' oclock really. i like it allot better now that it is shorter though. you have allot more room to play with, and dont hit your bar on accident. it is definatly more stable when i park it.

I have the same problem with that bar i'm going to move it in flush with the tail and see how that work's mines about 1 " from the tail right now. I think it needs to be a little past 12 for the bike to be sturdy up there.
