you can't go wrong with SI on a 929, this cage has taken some serious beating and still holds up like a champ:YEAH

a small old school lot right by my house in westwood. i got the boot from the top of toys r us on werk road. but you can normally hit that up for bout an hour a week.

my buddy highsided his 929 last year doing a circle with fi cage.It landed on the right side and shattered the cylinder head

i have never had a problem with my 929 and my frame or subframe...i have a 905 cage.........bike holds up like a champ!!!!!!!!:YEAH

dude, it doesn't matter that it's a powers cage. ya, powers cages are great on f4i, but 929's have a weak motor mount/frame tab on the right side...PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

it's common actually.

dont' take it apart, just have it tig-welded back and if you are going to continue stunting i recommend using 1/4" aluminum plate over the whole tab like i did and you'll never have another problem.

 

Dont take it apart? that sounds bad! I would strip it to the frame.

 

i took it to a welder and he told me he could do it still on the bike but for it to be a good weld to get him just the frame.

 

ya, you can do it without stripping the bike. it would be nice to get a weld on teh backside, but you don't need it. if you put 1/4" aluminum plate and weld that after you weld the tab back on, you'll be in business. Took me and Tim a few hours of TIG and mine was build like a tank after that.
