f4i tick tick tick ?
Re: f4i tick tick tick ?
does ape make a cct for the 05 gsxr 600
Re: f4i tick tick tick ?
more than likely its the cct i just installed an ape cct in my 636 it had a nasty tick when cold but even hot you could hear it quite well, now its just about gone after installing the ape cct, i'd highly recommend it, mine hasd a slight tick still but i dont wanna tighten the chain too much and have everything wear faster. maybe i should check my header bolts as well might take care of the rest of what i got
how do u install the cam chain tensioner? once i get it....
Re: f4i tick tick tick ?
take out the two bolts that hold the old one in and toss it in the trash clean the gasket area and install the new cct with a new gasket ....
turn the adjuster screw out so the new cct sits flush against the motor then tighten the two bolts that hold it in...
to adjust the new cct turn the adjuster bolt in till you feel tention from the chain just a little then start the bike and let it warm up [if it is clicking too loud tighten the adjuster a little till the bike is up too tempeture]
now while the bike is running back off the adjuster till it makes alot of noise and then turn it in till the noise stops and the give it a 1/4 turn more and lock down the lock nut being carefull not to let the adjuster turn any more while you are tightening the lock nut....
i like to put a slice on the head of the adjuster bolt with a die grinder or hack saw so i can use a screw driver on the adjuster and a wrench on the lock nut..
