i run a 190 it works fine. it gives you a higher peek so there is more tire on the road in a turn. i just air it down when i go out to the lot

just put one on my 636. so far it seems to be fine. im pretty sure that there isnt much diff. in the rear rim size on the new bikes. 1/2 inch diff between the 600's and 1000's i think!

Re: 190 Rear on a 636?

Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to know because I need some new rubber and was debating on slapping a 190 on. Just worried about how it may handle in the twisties. I usually rock street stund-ups and sit downs so.....

it's the same, 600's and liter bikes have the same rear wheel size now. they just use a 180 on the 600's for weight (for the most part).

you'll be fine.

Kane is correct, you have to air them up a lot more or its HIGH SIDE city. I don't like running them...

if your air them up you have a higher peek in the center so there is not as much tire on the road so you have to air them down so there is more tire on the raod so the bike is more stabel when doing slow stuff

Re: 190 Rear on a 636?

Just ordered a 120/70/17 front and 190/50/17 rear mich pilot powers today (package deal). I guess I will find out. By the way, I don't really rock slow stuff that often, I'm more worried about the street spreaders. I guess I will find out. I probably will rock 32PSI in both. Anyone run a 120/70 instead of a 120/65 in front. I figured geometrical it's not much bigger so....
