He looks "rather large" in his pic so that may help out the rubage, plus that body style gixxer doesn't have a whole ton of room under the tail, it sound possible to me

Mine rubs my rear tire a lot to the point that the subcage is nice and shiny silver on the bottom. But it doesn't seem to be a problem and I'm a big guy so . I do have my shock cranked to full tightness. Unless it can damage the bike or tire in some way I don't really care I guess.

Overall, I'd go with OMR over powers...
How does the powers rub the tires?

Guess it rubs if you use up the suspension . Miltown on here weighs like 160 and his rubs a little bit. I weight 240 and mine rubs a lot.

Here is a pic of where it sits in relation to the tire. I can get some pics of where it rubs tonight when I go to the lot...

Re: Powers subcage

Don't want anyone to think I'm bashing them either, I really like the powers subcage a lot, just pointing out that it does rub.

Is there any other way to route the support to give it more clearance?

I think there is room to raise it up some more because I have an undertail and there is still a gap I believe. Like I said, I'll pop off a couple of pictures tonight so that you can get a better idea unless someone beats me too it.

Only other thing I would say about the powers subcage is that they should give you the option to have either the stubby pegs that are in the picture on their site (same ones they use for the axle sliders) or the really long ones they send with the cage. I think I cut almost two inches off of mine because they were super long.

Re: Powers subcage

I got an OMR and it's good. No complants yet.

My buddy ordered a Powers for his 06 gsxr. So when he gets it we can do a better comparison.
I'm sure both will be good.......but I'm really liking my OMR.

The ones mine came with were really long like bicycle pegs. I just chopped them down so no big deal I guess. I'll have someone machine them clean over the winter.
