having trouble with what seems to be oil getting into my airbox from riding standup 3rd gear wheelies for about a mile. i get alot of smoke coming out my exaust pipe which i think is the oil burning up through the airbox. It shut down on me and i had to pull the spark plugs out and start it up to shoot all the oil out of there. Has anyone else ran into this problem and what do you think i should do?

 

ive had the same problem on my 04 and 05 gsxr 600 try not running so much oil in it....only run it to the line do not over fill it.....that fixed my problem......

 

isnt this why gixxers need a stuntex pickup?

 

Get A Stuntex And Dont Over Fill It When I First Got My Bike The Dealer Did Three Services For Free And One Time They Overfilled It And There Was Oil In The Air Box I Was Pissed Complained Because I Paid Cash Money For My **** And They Gave Me A Free 5 Year Extended Warranty

had the same **** the other night... did a rare occation street sesh, popped it up in 2nd tryin to whoolie longer than a gsxr 1000, and before i knew it, smoke was comin from the exhaust.... no biggy, it eventually fixed it self... i think ill stick to my lot stuntin for now... hahaha
and thats with my stuntex oil pickup!!!!

i already have the stuntex oil pickup equipped on this bike

 

its coming up through the back breather line on the engine and the air box i think if you block that hose that should fix ur prob

 

Dude , add one more quart then u r all good to go...I had my giixer for a year and didnt give me a problem.

that should save you alot of money.

 

Oh never mind.....check your tip sensor ( I know it has nothing to do with it but just put the ball in the middle and put silicone each side so that way it wont shut down.

check your plugs & air filter.

 

Isn't there a clean air mod where you just route the breather line that is dumping oil into the airbox, back into the engine? which also creates a negative air pressure in the engine good for maybe a hp or two. Do that and problem fixed.:YEAH

 

pair mod........ hook the head breather to the crank breather...... fixed!

nice find outcast ill be doing mine tomarrow after i stop by the depot

 

i did this mod on my bike and i still had alot of excess smoke comin from my exaust during long wheelies. Also the fuel injection light was blinking and oil pressure light was blinking after i did the mod. I know the oil is not gettin into my airbox though doing this mod the oil goes up in the head breather it has to burn out the exaust.

 

So do you think this is a good mod or not? Would you reccomend others doing it?

 

Also do you get any of the snap, crackle and pop when you let off the throttle? I heard somewhere else that is one of the downsides to the mod.
