I've never hard a problem catching the corners of my tail, main reason is if you put it down WAY crooked you shouldn't be putting it down in the first place. I've abused my subframe with a train tracks 12 bar on the end of it enough that I know I would have gone through 20 tails. 1 was enough for me... subframe is still good.
if I was to do it all over again though, I would have a round bar.
