grips?!?!

it may sound like a dumb question but i got some new grips(renthals) and they WAY too narrow... and for some reason it feels like they've killed my throttle control, i dunno if they're just uncomfortable or what... just wondered if anyone else has ever noticed anything like that... and what grips you guys like.... i'm thinkin bout just gettin stock ones again

I use the Renthals as well but there is absolutley no need for wire.. Just put them on with some brake cleaner and they will NEVER move.

Yea. Take your old grips off and clean the bar and throttle tube with some brake cleaner... Then spray a good amount into the grip right before you slide it on. Slides right on then squeeze it a little.. Let it sit for an hour or two and your grip will NEVER come off, move, slide, nothing.

If you ever meet me you will see why I do that. I find a way that works, is normally overkill, but it works so I stick with it.

Re: grips?!?!

spider grips

they are the best grips ever!! they really are!! once you use em, youll never go back to another brand!!
i wire them also, and they actually have groves for the wire. i love the feel of a wired grip over a non.

i swear by em, and have em on all my bikes

no wire needed. i only safety wire my MX bikes. i dont use brake cleaner though, i use spray paint. they slide right on, it dries quick as hell, and they are never movin'.

Spray paint is dirty. Go with the brake cleaner next time. I guarantee you'll love it.
