sprocket and chain sets
ok so i have been searching all morning about sprockets and gearing. I have found all kinds of info about what size sprockets to use and all the different places to get drive kits. but what i cant find is which company makes the best stuff. is thrust anygood? or driven? how about vortex(i hear they wear out fast)? geared steel? you guys beat the hell out of your bikes. whos stuff holds up the best? plus i know a 520 conversion is great for the track but i dont care about horsepower and perfromance when stunting, right? so technicly a 530 setup would last longer, right? and info, links, pros and cons, or you can just hate on the nubie. thanks guys.
Re: sprocket and chain sets
its noob or noobie not nubie
haha im just messin man
I cant give you much advice other then hearing that geared steel is the ****!!!!!!
Ive been on alot of other boards and always hear geared steel when people recommend companies. As far as what size or what chain thats up to you
Ill let the more expireinced guys take it from here.

Re: sprocket and chain sets
vortex and thrust company is aluminum. aluminum wears much faster than steel. ive had both vortex and thrust and they both were missing teeth within 4k miles. if u take real good care of your chain and keep it clean and adjusted just right youll prob make em last a little longer than i did. i now use only steel sprockets, specificly gearedsteelproducts.com sprockets and they out last my bikes. if u run a steel sprocket it dont really matter if its 520 525 whatever, i just run what my bike comes stock with.
