Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
did all their wheelies then endos, then acros, then burnouts as opposed to mixing all the tricks up)
so are you saying its better for them to do it in this order or to mix it up to make it more exciting???

Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
thank man. it might sound gay but i would not be where iam in my riding game if it was not for you. SO THANK YOU.
Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
while from a spectators standpoint it may seem like 3 minutes is a long time, as a rider i can tell ya it goes by in a snap, sometimes there is just no time to mix it up too much.. but i think thats a riders judgement call.
there is no handbook on how to do freestyle.. its ok for riders to have their own opinions, styles, and judgements on the way they wanna ride...
EXCEPT....
I am reaaaaaalllly sick of people doing nothin but goddamn drifts in the worlds smallest areas with 30 riders all trying to practice.. why does there always have to be one or two people who do nothing but show everyone they can drift.. big deal.. we can all drift already fukin get over it. you gonna kill someone riding like that!!

Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
Kane i understand where your comin from i was just wondering cause with me and lin working on his run i thought it would be better and more difficult to have it mixed up rather than wheelie wheelie wheelie acro acro acro and so on and so on! and i agre on the whole driftin thing!! small space + 10 riders = accident
Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
Difficulty - How difficult was your 3 minute run? New tricks, technical tricks, transitioning, etc...
Execution - How well did you execute your run? Full extension, completing a trick, transition from one trick to another, etc...
Variations - 5 wheelies, 5 acros, 5 burnouts, 5 endos (only 3 or 4 different times did a rider complete all 20)
Overall - How well was their overall run? Appearance of rider, appearance of bike, crowd involvement, judge involvement, positioning of tricks in run(did all their wheelies then endos, then acros, then burnouts as opposed to mixing all the tricks up)... OVERALL WERE YOU, YOUR BIKE AND YOUR RUN ON YOUR "A" GAME???
That is a brief explanation of how the judging works. XDL has posted the judging criteria up before. I will see about posting the judging system on XDL.com The riders all have recieved the judging criteria. They know what is expected and what they need to do to WIN.
The four judges for 2006 XDL series did their job according to the judging criteria. For the XDL Championship, riders were allowed to argue their run if they saw that it was not fair(Dan Jackson did so and it helped him). The judges of this series have all rode with the PROS, done many shows ourselves, have taken part of many stunt videos in the industry, and know all about how to look at a rider without being bias.
HOPE THAT HELPS SOME OF YOU WITH YOUR QUESTIONS and CONCERNS....

Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
I disagree. Maybe Riders just need to take some pride in their appearance and their bike, and try to at least LOOK like you take yourself seriously. NO one is gonna take you serious if your **** looks like you just pulled it out from underneath a wrecked semi...

whenever i write my runs out i always do it like this:
wheelie, acro, endo, burnout
wheelie, acro, endo, burnout
wheelie, acro, endo, burnout
wheelie, acro, endo, burnout

Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
i agree w/ u .i like to look good too .but when u start getting judged by how flashy your gear is ,or who has the nicest paint job, thats wack .i think it should be more about riding...i totally agree w/ u but just dont think it should be a part of judging
Re: Aaron Colton Takes First Place at XDL Championship Finals
area needs to be bigger with better grip. the lack of grip makes EVERYONE a drift king and allows EVERYONE to ride near the edge, bc the edge isn't far away. not complaining, but again the surface is holding the riding back, just like a handicap.
i dont even drift in my runs in places like this or motomayhem...it's too easy and everyone else is doing it.

I dont care what your into or what you do.
we live in america, and this country revolves around looks.
appearance is everything...
ive been to demolition derbies where people bling out their cars before they start, cause they know whats up!

this guy.. trying to make it sound like only his drifts are the coolness and everyone else can only do it when its easy.. LOL
you crack me up..
only person bitching about traction this weekend was you ****** and it wasnt cause of the area, or the "rubber on the ground" you pfieffer-esque primadona it was cause of that garbage *** **** tire you were runnin.
Welcome to vegas, home of the slipperiest roads on earth. get over it already. it was 100000x better than most polished concrete shows we do eh!?
my favorite moment of the weekend was teach going off in front of EVERYONE about the "rubber on the track"
when did you swap out that northeastern zip-tie stunter mentality for a maxipad you cry baby!! even i didnt bitch that much.. and even more..
I DIDNT HEAR DARIUS BITCH AT ALL.. ALL WEEKEND.. PERIOD..
thats a first...
