What's your definition of a pro stunt team?

I was pondering the answer to this question. Some have told me that you're not a pro team until you are doing all the stunts that everyone else is doing........like 12 o'clock wheelies. I haven't seen LVX doing any 12's but they are considered a pro team.

Others have said you're not a pro team until you have a video out.

What is your definition of a pro team?

I think you will be an official "PRO TEAM" when you have some organization regulating you and telling you...what to do...how to do it...and exactly how much they will pay you to do what they want you to do!! (like all professional sports)

They may ruin it...who know's but I just hope I can marry a stunter that makes over a Million a year (like all the pro sports guys)

I think a Pro team is a team that goes to all the major events and competes and usually scores well.

i think a pro team should have to get paid for what they do, and im not talking chump change either from a side show or something. im talking like full sponsorships so your not payin for anything anymore. people asking for autographs, things along those lines, but obviusly that probably wont be happening for a while with the exception for people like triple extreme,1096 and chauncey viera, who are already in thier own rights pro's of this sport. other than that i dont know how i would classify the teams as pros, i mean i have 12's and im def. not a pro

A pro team is a team that cant remember the last time it was fun to go ride because theyre too worried about promotion and money and merchandise sales or looking good on a video.
Does anyone remember when it was fun?

Funny...Know why...because the truth hurts . That statement is so on target, but that is just part of the growing pains to get this sport commercialized. The thought seems scary, but I would love to turn on ESPN one day and see my favorite riders/teams tearing **** up.

To be honest the sport it too new to distinguish who is Pro or Amateur. Just ask yourself this, "Do I as a rider feel confident to compete against other riders such as Mr. Woods, Crazy Dan, Gorka, Jason Britton, Etc." If the answer is no than you are probably an amateur. However, all it takes to become Pro status is determination and commitment. If you come into this sport with a cocky attitude how far do you think that is going to get you. The key to success is being RESPECTED. With out respect you are nobody

Well put Jimmy, but when friends that were inseperable start hatin' and fighting with each other because they now think theyre a PRO ATHLETE that when the sacrifice is no longer worth it. Be a real pro and remember who was there for you when you sucked.

I never thought that either, But it happens. Just hearing and seeing all the bs. Hopefully we all can rise above the bullshit and move on and also ENJOY why we all became a part of this sport. Yes it was the FUN we all had.

lloydchristmas... Be a real pro and remember who was there for you when you sucked.

I think a pro is defined by your attitude and skill. If you got 12's on lock that dont mean your a pro, there are players in the NBA that cant dunk.
I think as fars as teams go, when you start to travel and compete in events and get regonition then you are close to being a pro.But what is a pro in this sport? where are the amature events? you cant have pros without being amatures first right? There needs to be alot more organization befor stuntriders get regonized by anyone. There are a million different events sponsered by amillion different poeple. The XSBA is on the right track, there needs to be a minor league and major league type set up or it wont go any further than we are.How can it get reported on nationally if you cant tell one event from another. There has to be one big organization in which the "pros" and the "amatures" both have there spots with a points system and set events and a champion every year.Inbetween that "season" everyone can have there shows. And ofcourse you have it set up for individual competition and team and so on.Just my

Would someone set up a poll and see how many people think this sport will become mainstream and how many people think it will stay within are small stunt community.
