dont really know but if i mount the idle screw and adjust it to 2000-3000rpm, give it a full throttle then it gets stuck on 5000 like a rev limit and i have to brake the rpm down to get it to normal idle..

it works anyways..

BTW i got the advise from BULLO

hondaz, and yamahaz is like apples and oranges..... rotten apples at that.

you dont have to disconnect the speedo/tach, it works without that.

that's just a honduh blunder!

Re: 2006 R6 Idle/set up

Hello I'm in Australia and am doing my 06 r6 I've been talking to lukey Luke follacio and he told me to run a long idle adjuster he also said you can pick them up from wreckers which that's what he is running on his triumphs I also considered a power commander but look for a map before purchasing

Re: 2006 R6 Idle/set up

Old thread I know, but I turned the idle up with that screw on a 09 r6 and once the bike is shut off and started back up the idle is back to around stock... is there anything else I need to do?

Re: 2006 R6 Idle/set up

I am having the same problem... Been searching for the answer for days, lol ! I turned it up to 3000 and the throttle stops responding, i turned it to 2200-2000 and when you shut it off and on it goes down to 1100...
