Made a mistake need some advice...
I have stunted MX for a couple of years and decided to get into the sport bike scene and stunting. Now I did the so-called research and looked for an easy bike to start stunting which was the f4i. I found one and it had only 3000 miles was mint, cherry, virgin, clean as hell showroom quality and had the cash so I decided I had to have it. $5500 So Ive had it a couple of months and ride all the time but have been hesitant about tearing it down, cutting the tail, dent the tank, etc etc etc, install the stunt parts to the top and rag the **** out of it. or put it back up for sale get my 5000 - 5500 back and just buy a street legal stunted out f4i? Is it worth buying a 2500 to 3000 stunter with 10,000+ miles or would it just be a bunch of problems for me?
Here's a pic of mine now. Valeska saw it a few weeks ago.

Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
I made the same mistake with my 929. I decided to stunt it anyways. I just fightered it too. My only regret is not getting a 600, but its all good now.
Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
I dont know, I bought my f4i stunted out. While it was cheap (only $2600), I did have to replace bent rearsets, bent clipons, new tire, and it blew a motor so I had to put a new one in it...I think its better to buy the stunted out bikes, but dont forget that you will be putting money into it as well...
Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
i have the same problem
. i have a minty 06 cbr 600rr and i was reluctant about using it at first, i took some plastics off, am getting an acerbis headlight and say **** it. push ur bike over once and u will get over the fear of it falling, i got a little rash on my plastics. so what? u can always replace them, right?

Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
I bought a stock 01 f4i with OK fairings..all present but some rash on 1 side fairing, little cracks on front fairing and scrapes on the highmount pipe i took off as well. Stuff that kills a value of a bike but meant nothing to me as long as the bike was mechanically sound. After some price negotiating I got the bike for 2800. This bike was never stunted. Just had a squid doin some lame pow pow power wheelies. I almost and I mean ALMOST bought a stunted bike off ebay that was sorta local for about the same price. But just the fact it needed a brake caliper, some pads, rear tire, had a rebuilt title blah blah blah I said F-it and bought a pretty nice clean titled stock bike. I streetfightered it right away, put the plastics in my room and Im building it to my specs with nice new ****. If anything I'd say sell your bike and buy a cheaper stock bike and then stunt it out. There isnt much too it.

Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
Wowtah has a good point but personally, I would at least look for a stunt piece. Just saw one on here, clean title F4i stunt piece for $3600 in the classifieds. If you don't find something else and you stunt your F4i that you have now (which is minty) then do yourself the favor of buying spare parts ESPECIALLY a spare tank and plastics. Everything else can be replaced easily, but keep your minty stuff tucked away in a shed or somewhere never to be touched or scuffed. You'll thank yourself later.
Re: Made a mistake need some advice...
Exactly...
Don't buy someone else's problem bike.... sell all your nice stuff, set that bike up for stuntin and don't look back.
Once you got all your skills on lock... buy a new bike!! And keep that one to beat... it will last a loooong time, it's a honda.
