Question Carb vs FI opinions

For a stuntbike, opinions on Carb vs FI. Im leaning toward an FI bike but a carberated bike may save me some $. Is it worth the hassle?

I would reccomend a FI bike. Just upkeep wise a FI bike has a let less of it. For other reasons if you're just starting out i wouldnt be worried about it at all.

+1 its when you start gettin into 12'z and all the bar tricks that you need FI but at the start Carb is fine, invest in a CBR600 F2 or F3, there are normally cheap!

Re: Carb vs FI opinions

Hmm just surfing around and I had the same type of question...I have an F3 but someone has offered to buy it for a little more than what it would usually go for....should I keep my F3 and throw a cage on it or should I sell it and save for a few more months and buy something else? If so, what? I'm leaning toward an F4i and can probably only spend around $3500-$4000

Re: Carb vs FI opinions

ive got a couple of f4i's to look at in the next week (both asking 3000). One has less than 4000 miles (2002) w/clean title and its just scratched on both sides, that one seems a lil fishy and the other has around 10 or 11 I think w/clean title. I hope one of them will work out. Im anxious to get started. If I get the f4i I wont need to worry about upgrading later and it looks like stunt parts are more readily available.

you said it before i could type it ,basicly i was gonna say spend your money once .....

if you buy a carbed bike you will regret it , you wont regret your fuel injected bike

Re: Carb vs FI opinions

damn those f4i's sell fast!....a dealer had one I wanted to look at for 3000. The bike looked beat and some idiot tried to spray it metallic purple w/big paint drips everywhere. I thought for sure it would be there for at least a couple days after the ad popped up in cycletrader. I called them the day it was listed.
