Just wanted to give some feedback stuntwars
This year I did not setup a vendor booth and stayed in the crowd on Saturday and Sunday. So I wanted to give a review from a fan of the sport.
Saturday morning I showed up at 11am at the new track (State Trooper at the front entrance) thought there was not many cars in the big field so I was expecting the worst. I went up to the ticket booth and much to my surprise it was only $15 and they had a printed schedule of events awesome checked the time and seen I had plenty of time to check out the vendors on the way in. Real nice setup did not have to guess who was a vendor and who was a stunt team. Then I made my way up the stands and guess what there was plenty of room for me to have a seat with a decent view unlike last year where I was trying to peak over peoples heads to see the track and did not dare try and make it in the stands. Thomas was killing the mic and giving away tons of FREE ****!! Everything stayed on time even a little early got all the qualifying done before it even got dark. Then I made it out of the track in the matter of just a few mins and made my way to shitty Hooters Inn (Dont ever stay there just party there) Well went to bed after partying until 5am seen all the pro riders and got to shoot the **** with a few very down to earth. I even have to say Colbert is not oldbert any more yelling whos got bud I could not believe he was token with all the other guys and when I went to bed at 5am he was down by the pool.
Sunday got up very hungover and tried to hurry to the track. I got to the track around 10am and parked right up front and went to the ticket booth and seen the price had went up to $20 for the finals. No problem picked up a schedule of events and made my way to the stands. Got a seat up top by the sky boxes good view. Tandem was going on and to my surprise I knew who was winning they were in the hot box!!! GREAT IDEA Watched a few riders and then got a bite to eat good food but a little steep on the price. Every thing was going fast no one just running out on the track getting in the way and bothering judges and Thomas. Thomas was keeping everyone hype with free. Well after long stoppie they had a cool autograph session for everyone. Then they gave away a helmet to a guy after watching 5 guys running around the track in there boxers. It was straight comedy watching them trying to find there clothes. Then they announced all the finalist for freestyle surprisingly they all came out of the stands where they were mingling with the fans. People were loving it they were all posing with them siting on the bleachers.
Well I think that is enough info for everyone of and the drift show was sick!!!!!!
By the way I have been to 5 stuntwars and this is by far the best one I have ever seen!

Re: Just wanted to give some feedback stuntwars
yeah they actually gave me the freedom I needed this year to run the events with the hotseat... the judges did a good job of adding scores quickly which helped, and to the riders credit.. they did a great job sticking with the interview and hotseat format (luckily most of them had done it with me before at XDL events)
