Dirtbike stunting??
Re: Dirtbike stunting??
safety is most important so you want a really good helmet and a good pair of gloves....you have a 2 stroke i suppose so that makes it a lil harders cus most dirtbike stunters have four strokes...and just get the feel of wheelies but being in first gear giving it sudden throttle and lifting up...lol but you want to make sure to keep your foot on the rear brake at all times so incase you go to high you dont loop it...im only 15 so i bet you can do it.....good luck
Re: Dirtbike stunting??
hold throttle wfo and dump clutch. oh yeah, first gear also.
really, rear brake, rear brake, rear brake!!!!!! practice using your brake rear brake. just having your foot over it is not enough. you need to make that movement second nature. can't emphasize this enough. so, get out on your bike and get comfy applying pressure to it while doing wheelies. it's the only way you'll learn.
good luck

Re: Dirtbike stunting??
If the bike has the drum brake style, they aren't as good as disc brakes when it comes to control. But like they said above, take your time, feel the bike out, and wear your gear!
Re: Dirtbike stunting??
LOL hope your KX dont have drum brakes, I think that would make it almost 25 years old. I learned brake control on a dirtbike and nothing else...never had a 12 bar, all my learning was trial and error. I have a KX125 and to be honest it is very smooth to ride a wheelie on. As long as you are in the lower rpm range (stay away from the power ban). You have to really clutch it up, but once you have it up the power is great (very smooth) I can walk my stock gearing 03' KX125 slower than my motard YZ250F geared down 1 tooth in the front and up 4 in the rear. But again stay away from the power ban.
Re: Dirtbike stunting??

Re: Dirtbike stunting??
I love dirtbike stunting I'm getting a crf450 this summer to stunt. Heres a clip or Ryan Moore from 50Stunt on his 450. Just to give you alittle motovation. Also street tires help alot.

Re: Dirtbike stunting??
if you are serious about wanting to stunt sell your bike and buy a four stoke that way you wont have to deal with the power band. also try rocking shoes instead of boots, this will give you better feel and control of the rear brake.

Re: Dirtbike stunting??
Yeah 4 strokes I agree are way better for sunting. Two strokes are more for racing. Do you want to stunt? Or do you want to wheelie? There is a big difference between someone who can do a long whelie, and a stunter. If you just want to wheelie your gonna be fine, but if you really plan on stunting go with a 4 stroke!
