Re: Ownerships

I also had a real problem with a stamped vin a while back. Back in the day I cracked my zx6r frame and just spent the wood to get a brand new frame. The frame came with a MSO and no #'s. Even after I had it stamped the bike was siezed from me twice for investigation.

Moral is " what a pain in the ***"

Re: Ownerships

I have a clean 954 title and frame it you need it and Im from Mississauga also
Buy that bike for $1500 buy this title and frame and you have a clean bike for under $3G's.......Its been done before....I wouldnt be surprized if half the parts on my bike are stolen, Ebay local private sales who knows where the parts really came from...What should I do pay retail at the dealers just to be sure Im not buying stolen ****?

I know the exact bike your lookin at and the seller says he has a bill of sale but no title, that is perfectly legal but you will have a hard time with cops. They will sieze and investigate your **** untill they can prove its not a stolen bike......get a clean title for that bike register it and you'll have no problems at all....

Thats probably cause you had a butcher stamp your numbers, I CNC engrave mine and they look better than factory....Ive had to replace my 636 frame twice and I wasnt going to pay some butcher to stamp crooked *** numbers in my frame......Ive seen some terrible stamp jobs in my day, if you roll around with butcherd numbers like that you deserve to have your **** siezed and investegated...

yeah thats funny how that works isnt it? you are considered guilty and must pay ___thousand dollars to prove your innocence,

when you should be considered innocent, and the court pays ___thousand dollars to prove you guilty.

its not about justice, or whos right and whos wrong, its just about who has more money and can manipulate a jury into thinking what you want them to think

Re: Ownerships

motor numbers and vin numbers are not the same on bikes, but they are linked together. An officer can find out what motor is suppose to be in what frame if he has either the vin or the motor number.

had a bike stolen around here and a the police had the vin of course and were checking on a local motor that was for sale to see if the numbers were linked to the frame.

Re: Ownerships

But since a motor may have been blown & replaced and might no longer match, how might one go about ensuring that a motor they purchase is not hot? (Just one of those educate yourself on covering your *** questions good to know for future reference.)

Motor#'s come on the MSO's, not just every cop can run the numbers. It does take a little "Leg Work".
