the only problem with you pissin and moanin about this is that in every single sport u mentioned, they are RACING to a finish line. In our sport there is no race so y do the gears have to be the same? Do riding with db bars make u better than with clip ons? etc etc etc in skating do they make everyone use abec 5 bearings or allow em to ride with abec 7's? In bmx riding are all the frames they ride the same, bars the same length, crank arms the same length, and gears the same? Doubt it! In fmx is everone required to run the same cc bike geared the same? Every sport is organized even this one, just not to the extent of the sports that involve racing.

not all the sports i mentioned have a finish line, you need to get off the computer put some air in that back tire and worry bout gettin better and not about a comp u aint gonna win

i think for our sport to really take off, even though some dont want that we should think about leveling the playing field. in every other sport theres always a norm in which everyone agrees on even if you dont agree, either abide by it or dont enter.if you go to a bmx, skate boarding, snowboarding, motocross,fmx, or nascar comp all the competitors bikes boards or cars are the same or close to whic makes it fair for one and the crowd can follow wats goin on. i cant think of one other sport were the very machines the competitors are using are so different. even lumberjacks got there own comp on espn, cuz its organized!
that's because they all have huge sponserships to pay for that ****, you don't accautly think the riders work on those bikes do you?

it is eqaul if your bike is setup how you like it.
each person is an individual, the guys riding the bike he's not comfy on is deff not gonna ride as well as the guy who loves his setup and confident in it.
if you got your bike the way you like it, than it is eqaul, cause so does the next guy.

some poeple will adapt quicker because of previous experience.
i had CRAZY hand brake control on my bicycle, i could do HC coasters on the thing:
which is why, less than a month after throwing a HB on the hundo, i was doing spreader circles like nothing:
