Angry Tearing pants?

I have grip tape on my tank so my *** won't fly off if I'm gonna do an Iron cross etc. I was doing some combo wheelies the other day , going from iron cross to flamingo and my pant's started to scuff really bad. I wore the same pant's the next day and holes started appearing. Through out the day my pants were getting so bad that my *** wouldn't stay on the tank when i would pick my legs up to do an iron cross. Does anybody has any suggestions other than griptape to put on a caved-in tank?

I definitely feel your pain bro, I think I have like one pair of holeless jeans left, thanks to the grip-tape. I've heard about using gorrilla pads, but have yet to try it......Here is a link I found to give you an idea.

Options:

1.) Remove the Grip Tape
2.) Denk in your Tank
3.) Buy Thicker & Cheaper Pants

I still have not dented in my tank mainly because I am a cheap basturd and do not want to fill up my tank every 60 miles . You may want to put most of your body weight on your tail bone and lean back a bit. This will also help you get your legs to spread out further. Alot of people tend to lean foward and this is what causes them to slip backwards. This is what makes the jeans tear.

My tank is already caved in. I know exactly what your talking about when leaning to the front makes you slide. I think i need new griptape and some pants from the flea market

I have never used grip tape and have never slid off the tank. I would clean your tank with alcohol (not the kind you drink!) to remove any wax. Then clean it with the rough side of a kitchen sponge. Now the bare paint on the tank should stick to your jeans. Just remember not to wax it next time you clean the bike. If you still have the problem you probably aren't leaning back far enough. This trick has always worked for me- just run your hand over the hood of an old car and a new one and feel the difference.
