soooooooooo, with that being said...... the f4I bandwagoner's are scared to see a bike that they caint crash. to see a bike that they can't just throw any and every part at. to see a bike that they might have to spend a little bit more money, and not buy everything off of ebay for. atleast thats what i think, i could be wrong though ... but either way it goes i do work on the R6 Son!!!!
Yes, I like to have a bike that can take some abuse. When you stop doing power wheelies on the freeway and start learning some more technical tricks, you have a lot of little bullshit wrecks. I like to be able to pick my bike up and keep on riding instead of having to tear it down and take my frame to the welder. Why would I want to have a bike that I have to spend a shitload more time and money to fix time after time?

It's not being "scared", it's being "hungry to really stunt". I had an 03 r6 ages ago, and I've slow wheelied them at the spot recently. They are definitely smooth, but they are just not very practical for hardcore stunting.

No, I'm saying that because I saw that video you posted, it was garbage freeway wheelies. Did you seriously just group yourself with fools who kill the streets just because you don't ride lots?

I'm sorry I didn't memorize the gears and roads you were on exactly.

The point was, you obviously haven't been stunting a long time. With that said, I'm just letting you know it's not that people don't stunt them because we're so scared of being different. It's because, as I said, it's just not as practical.

yeah, that is prolly 3 weeks into my wheelies....

i know that it isnt practical, but you all act like it is the anti christ being a yamaha.

i have crashed, and pancaked mine enough to know the structural weaknesses... and you can just see how certain cages are made, to know that they will be harmfull to the chassis.

i guess both points made... and no offense taken....

i would upload my latest footage, to prove the point that i aint no slouch on 1 wheel nowadays... but, it will all come in due time.:YEAH

Second thing is I need some idea's for what to do to it? What sprocket size for both street and lot riding, But mostly lot riding.. Whats all the **** I need to completly make this R6 into a stunt bike?? Let me know what you guys would do to it and where to get the parts from etc.. It would be a great help!! Thanks -Nate

I'll get some pics of it and throw them on here later..

Re: 03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

get motoheaven.com thrust sprockets, i think sickinnovation.com i think hey makes a real good cage dont buy a 905 what ever you do. hai handbrake valve with 03 r6 front master flipped for the handbrake hai handbrake line too. haibikeshops.com. for the master your local cycle salvage. doesnt have to be an r6 one but it would be nice so if you have a spare front brake lever it will work for your handbrake too.

Re: 03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

my first bike was my r6 (in my avatar) i learned on all my tricks on it just fine
i got -1 +6 and its great for lot and highway riding
my powers cage is AWESOME my bike has hit the ground tons of times, nothing broke the cage saves it all and my bike is still minty looking, i would recommend that for your r6
as for the subframe it SUCKS so i'm gonna invest in a scrapeworks one,
i don't find the bike weak as everyone makes it out to be
ppl make it sound liek if it touchs the ground it falls apart, thats just bullshit
mines hit the ground from loosing my footing tryin to scrape 12s, and it was fine.....the subframe is the only down fall, reinforce it or get a new one and your set!!!!!!!:YEAH
its nice to show up to a lot with something different than a 636 or f4i as well

Yea Im about 235, So You think I should sell this and get an F4i? That spot was the best spot I have been 2, It was sick and that had to have been the best day of ridin for me seeing as I got to have all you random stunter's out at my spot(Yea that was sick!!) it sucks the damn pig's came and screwed it up, I guess the only resone they came out was a noise complant from those ******* that live behind that hill....But this summer if the place is not sold yet(well even if it is lol), i think we should all go out there for one last use of the spot. If the cops come again, We bail for good, But if everyone has an exhaust this time LOL we should be fine..Maybe. As for the R6 I know now it was a good deal but you think its not the bike for me?? Thanks for all the info bro, I'll talk to ya later -Nate

I was looking at the powers cages and the cheapest I could find them was $260. What is a cheaper alternative, or can they be gotten for the r6 for cheaper?

Re: 03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

if I got the bike for that price I would fix the damage with some used shet from ebay, and sell it on craiglist or cycle trader. ask $5000 OBO you might get it, $4500 for sure (you might even get that with out fixing the damage if its only what you described) Then take the 5K buy a 2001-2003 F4i for $3500 or less and pocket the rest. If its your stunt learner it will be more difficult than the f4i. Just my personal opinion

I can see where your coming from, and I was considering doing that also cause I bought an 04 for $3000 that was a clean title and ran fine but what made me change my mind on flipping it was the fact that I wanted to ride right now and selling a bike this time a year can be a b!tch so Ill wait till it breaks and part it out, then get something else
