03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

So I junked the idea of buying that old 93 cbr and bought a 03 yamaha R6 to turn into a stunt bike, its a nice bike..First off do you think I got a good deal or not? Its siver, completely stock, has 9,000 miles on it and was dumped going like 15mph, Has barley any damage, The front right light is broken and the front plastic has a small crack in it..but once again it runs mint and everything other then the front is in mint condition..we agreed on $3500 for the bike, Good deal or not?

Second thing is I need some idea's for what to do to it? What sprocket size for both street and lot riding, But mostly lot riding.. Whats all the **** I need to completly make this R6 into a stunt bike?? Let me know what you guys would do to it and where to get the parts from etc.. It would be a great help!! Thanks -Nate

I'll get some pics of it and throw them on here later..

get a cage, and maybe take off some plastics if you want to keep it somewhat minty looking later.

what you should do is turn around and sell it to someone else for more and pick up a honda. do you see anyone really rocking yamaha`s for stunting besides bill d?????? but if it has a clean title yes you got a good deal

03-05 r6 are great stunt bikes they just don't hold up. There not a great bike to learn on. But if you need any r6 parts check out www.D2cycles.com and tell them team mid moto sent you because if you are learning on it your going to be breaking **** all the time But there run great and make those wheelie thing really good.

SELL IT!!!!!

But if you are just stuborn and want to keep it Put a F4i throttle tube on it,Get a cage, take the plastics off for now, reinforce the frame, subframe, engine mounts, and fairing stay if you keep it on. and go rock it out until it's trashed!

Re: 03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

rip it up. r6 are ****ing great bikes. there are alot of guys in ct rockin r6's
i know alot of them that have f4 and susuks. and ride there r6 instead. if you master the r6's twitchy throttle you can ride anything.

Re: 03 Yamaha R6...What should I do to it...

oh put on a sick innivations cage on it. iv seen fI and 905 crack mounts..plus for gearing go one down in the front and stock rear.master the throttle then go up. they already have alot of torque
with that set up it will lift my fat *** up(240) any more then that to learn, and you will learn to hate the bike. have fun with it..dont let the haters turn you away from a great bike.
