So whats up with the 1000 subframe installation on a 600. I hear they are stronger to put back on the 04-05 models. What differences are there in mounting and stuff anyone know?? And what year 1000 subframe??

01 gsxr 1k swingarm, forks, rims, brakes, AND subframe, bolt n go, no difference on those

 

ur talking wrong style gixxer...we have the 04-05 600s...different from the 03 600-750....i just wanna know that when u replace the 04-05 gsxr 600 sub for a 03-04 gsxr 1000, what else do u have to buy?? seat, tail, undertray? just curious...thanks for anyones help?

 

03/04 gsxr 1000 subs will bolt up to 04-05 600/750 and vice versa but its a pain to get the seats to fit. You can get em to fit but you'll run into problems.


Use the search on the site for more info, I know the info's out there because I used it to do my swap last year.

 

i thought u guys ment the 00+ years because thats wats listed as your bike, they'll fit, get the subframe, tail n seats

I ended up just going back with a 600 sub and reinforcing the crap out of it. Hopefully have a custom scrapeworks style but out of aluminum soon. I like my frame tabs!!

 

you have to take some of the corner of the subframe on the 1000 to get it on the 600/750 and its easier to use the seats for the 1000 then try to get them to fit.......swap the whole tail,package tray,fairing,and seats and you will be happy
