Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

i had a buddy who always said " i never use the rear brake". i always told him to cover it just in case. boy was he glad he did when he was BP @ about 70mph and a gust of headwind pushed him slightly past BP. he hit the brake that time and now he has learned better control from it.

why do people who dont ride wheelies talk **** like they do? tapping the brake at any speed on a BP wheelie is going to bring the front end down(unless the brake is broken). END OF STORY! glad your friend is Ok.

And with this post and og ryan lees I realize just how retarded I am. I'm thinking trail braking, and he clearly said wheelie.

Hello, I don't stunt. But I should be smart enough to know the front tire is off the ground in a wheelie. One would think. But no.

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

just to clarify, his bike is geared -1+2 01 gsxr 1000, he powers up 3rd and 4th gear, not sure which he was in last night. my bike is geared -1+7 and i was going flat out top speed trying to keep up with him and he was pullin away and then he flipped. this was in traffic but most of it was behind us and they all had time to stop. he rolled forever and stayed in the street the whole time. he was in the right lane, the bike was way ahead in the left lane.

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

My friend thinks its cool to do power wheelies thru all six gears on his bike. He says hes bringing dirtbike style wheelies into the bike scene. I was like first of all your retarded, he doesnt even wear a helmet during all of this! Some people just need to be shot.

i have to agree that the brakes will work at 130 hell if you hit them hard enough they'll lock for sure both wheels down. but if he hit it too hard he'd prolly wreck either way cause of headshake from slamming down that hard. going 130 on one wheel you're screwed any time you screw up

ok, first off let me say that i'm glad your boy is ok.my hart goes out to his parents, couse they would have had to live w/the out come of that mess, been there.... i read this whole post and i really cant understand how something this simple can make people want to hate on each other(off topic) but had to throw that out there. anyway, as a 42 year old rider ive done and rode almost all the bikes out there,(:YEAH big deal) so where i'm going w/this? is that at 130mph there is no engine brakeing, not in this wourld maybe in another one but not in this one. if there is i would love someone to show it to me ,and not in a video . and for the record at 130,u will cover 110 yards in 1.4 seconds, thats not a lot of time to think on what to do.thanks for hearing me out, carm. ps, and the CONNMEN are still out there
