I've made myself to the point I had zero dollars in my pocket twice now... had to give up my house in AZ... that was pretty hard to do.. which I've never told anyone about.. but it's all good now i guess.. from doing **** for exposure... I'll prolly keep doing it... but it's getting old doing it for free... not only that I've realized, I've done more exposure lately, than I've had time to actually ride... I'm even possibly moving to LA soon... depending on if people are yanking my chain or not... trying to play it smart and safe... but.. anyways
As soon as I can get my F4i to finally work right... I'm gonna do nothing but practice and wreck...

p.s. darius, my F4i still isn's runnin right.. I've changed the throttle body.. it's still messin up.. but not its doing something slightly different.. I'm gonna strip the bike down tomorrow.. i'm thinking it's either the tip sensor.. or the ground to the engine.. maaaaybe a pinched fuel line... (shrugs) so frustrating...

but yeah, I hear ya on the whole exposure thing.. I ask myself sometimes.. is it really worth it.

 

it's worth it,even the stuff we get paid for doesnt cover the gas somtimes.But all it takes is that one right person in that one right place,and that'll never happen if your not there and if for nothing else atleast you can say you fuggin did it and or atleast tried to be somthing other than a 9-5er,there's alot of guys and gals watching racing or other sports on tv when in reality there just as good if not better than the over paid chump there cheering for ,but because they gave up or was told you'll never make it give up before it's to late and start a carreer somwhere else,they'll never know and boom your 65 in your RV travling with mrs.iwonderwtfwoulda,doin just that wondering! life's too fuggin short ........

 

yeah... see here is the thing, you guys are doing so much in your life for something you love. you're traveling, and being seen by so many people, how many of the regular joe's at your age can even say that ****? even if you arent the number 1 person doing it, or the most popular, you guys are doing something. i aint gonna lie, i wish i was doing something other than just working all day. i mean sho' i make a good living, got a few cars, and bike's, and a house and such... but i got to work day in, and day out, the same booring ****, and it never changes.... well unless i hit someone and i get to find the body parts!!! but other than that, that is it. you guys get to travel to other states, compete, party like a ***** fukka, smoke crack..... oops, party again... lol, and chill with great people. that is enough exposure, look at how many good friends you guys are making..... the lil bit of money that comes with it is coo too, but imagine the stories you will get to tell later on..... **** imagine the stories you could tell now. like many hAVE said in this thread before, the money will come.... i know the **** might not be pourin in right now, but soon when it does..... people will know who the front runners were.

so that house that was lost...... that **** will all be water under the bridge soon. goin broke for a week or two makin apperances, pffft. imagin goin broke for a week or two just payin billz and sittin ya *** at home till next pay day! just remember yall goin places, that **** is always better than the daily hustle of workin.

Darius, if u wanna make money man ur gonna have to let ur ***** drop n say no to them promoters. Like someone said b4 the real crime aint that nobody bought ur dvd, its the fact that 70,000 people showed n u ended up comin out of pocket just to get there.
U have the exposure allready boss...u can choose to b selective. Listen man, people want what they dont got so if u go n tell the promoter that u cant make it cause he aint payin u enough then he will up the anty. Ask any sportbike rider what stunter they heard of n they will most likely say ur name even if they dont really know what stuntin is.
U need to learn how to use ur mouthpiece...puttin urself out there is only half the battle. U need to b able to hustle people. Tell them that they r gonna by your stuff. u gotta b able to make them think that if they dont buy ur stuff they r gonna b missin out on somethin. N just havin some dj put ur website out there sure as hell aint enough kid. People aint gonna remember that...ive tried to remember websites n usually somethin else comes up when i type it in. What u really need is a manager that can just hype u up...dont really on some liein *** promoter's word that he is gonna get u paid. If u had a manager gettin 10-15% of ur end he sure as hell would b makin sure u got paid cause im sure he would b wantin some bread to.

Do any of you guys post up short competition/exhibition stunt clips on google vid with your name attached so promoters etc will know who to contact? It's something you can do fairly easily, and you never know. The more people who see you, the better your odds of getting a paying gig out of the deal. Just a thought.

just one a holes opinion but the reason your not getting the orders on your vids is the ppl that are interested in them can usually get them for free online as a whole or in clips or just dont have the cash to spend on dvds b-cuz most of it is spent on effing wheelie tickets or bike impound fees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not even that bro, ill scrounge the money for a dvd i want. Dont get me wrong, they are total motivators for me.

I see a nice elevator, it makes me wanna go do it! A new twist on an old trick, i wanna have it on lock.

But i like the crash scene. Exciting stuff. Bikes blowing up -- being totaled. Total chaos being sprayed across the city your in.

I like a bone sticking out of my leg and look at the expression on your faces. My thumb laying on the groung and someone picking it up for me. Sure it sucks but it is real. Its what we want in todays society. Carnage

I dont want to watch someone stunt in a parking lot for 45 minutes. AKA Patrick Stephens first video.

Now i know its not always possible to get this footage, but even if you have to wait 3 years for the best shot ever, its better than putting out 5 videos of the same thing same thing same thing

 

Not at all........why you say that? I still want u to be the 1st female stuntcard. Im not mad or hate you. I feel that you have lost interest in doing your stuntcard for what ever reason.

 

haha, ***** you make that video...... do it all on your own too, film it, star in it, and do all your stunts.


basically what it is boiling down to is get back on the streets darius.... film it, and when the camera car is following, have some of your dvd's in it. stickers etc.

tear up the blox, start showin some new up and comming riders in the bay. then you will not only be acredited to putting stunting in the fore front, you will also be known for bringing out the new hotness, the latest addition to stunt riders. then you will move from popular rider, to stunt guru. i guarantee if you have some new street footage, and some new riders with you beside molina, brown, mana etc. it will be interesting to watch.... because then there might be that unexpected crash, cause someone is new on the camera. we are used to your surgical attack on the streets, and molinas smooth preformances, etc. what about the new ***** that might make the footage more interesting.... i would buy it fasho, because it is something new in your genra. call it "servin wit squids" or somethin....

 

+1 toms right i have too many dvds to count but the ones i re watch i cn count on one hand its just not crazy anymore i just picked up road rash the first one with some really old school stuff like from97 98 and i couldnt believe that ish was even worthy of trying to sell but at the time it was something no one had ever seen b4 so it sold .... so it looks like we are all going to need to get even crazier than we already are and start killing people to make a buck . or we could stop trying to make millions and just enjoy the sport and let the chimps fall where they may
